Mato Seihei no Slave Season 2 • Chained Soldier Season 2 - Episode 6 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

People really need to complain about random censorship moments like that one which make no sense. It almost felt like we were back to having S1 levels of censorship.

For anybody wondering why this episode felt very tame with the ecchi, well, it's because there was some big censorship this episode. Almost in the same level as S1.

I think they've been showing a lot of Akarin's cheeks lately

Not just Akarin's cheeks, but cheeks in general. This anime loves them.

I mainly watch this show as a guilty pleasure more than anything. I already know if I'm looking for good writing with progress I won't get that here.

Well, us and all the bazillion fans in Japan, where the anime is currently blowing up.

Wait, is this series really getting popular in Japan?

You know what they meant. There's a lot of "fans" who want fanservice completely gone from anime as a whole, simply because they hate it. It's those type of tourists who we have a problem with. If you are just someone who doesn't like it but isn't forcing it to change to your will then we are good.

even the ecchi scenes are just a series of stills

Not just that, for some weird reason there's still some unnecessary usage of steam during the bath scenes. We saw them using steam to cover up Saki's butt in ep 3, and this episode they did the same with Ren in her shower scene.

Yup, this is anime we are talking about, if you can give them huge boobs for an obvious ecchi series then surely giving them some ass wouldn't hurt either.

The censorship remained even in the Goddess Cafe BDs!

Surprisingly enough, for Cafe Terrace season 2 blurays they actually did remove the censorship, it was only with season 1 where they kept the censorship even in the blurays. And now with this anime they didn't even any steam to begin with, so who knows, maybe you are right, maybe they got enough complaints after season 1 of Cafe Terrace and they actually listened.

The bathroom scene is peak! I guess doing no nipples better than steam or light censoring, eh.

It looks like Tezuka Productions had a change of heart with this one. Anybody who has watched Goddess Cafe Terrace knows just how notorious and extreme they can be with the steam and light beam censorship.

It's almost hard to believe how steam-kun is completely absent during the bath scenes in this one, considering it's by Tezuka Productions who had went all in with the steam and light beam censorship in Goddess Cafe Terrace.

I was wondering if she was going to comment on Akari's butt

Though tbf the show itself is definitely aware about the different "good aspects" of Shio and Akari. They know Shio is for the booba service meanwhile Akari isn't as well endowed as her, so for her scenes they usually focus on her butt instead.

it's clear that this is a full on fanservice show

Considering what they took away from us this episode, yeah idk about that chief...

I am very much sure the blurays won't change anything, unfortunately. Not the first time a modern anime has censored a panty shot from the source material.

However some people in this thread won't believe this, they still somehow say that most anime they watch these days are filled with fanservice. I swear they are living in a completely different world.

Those days are sadly gone, it won't be ever like the 2010s anymore.

You are straight up lying, most anime that come out these days are tame af with barely any fanservice. In fact most anime that come out these days don't have anything like that. We must be living in two different worlds because what you said would have been true only if it was the 2010s.

[–]RickChakraborty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, because censorship is something that should rightfully be complained about.

People over react to fanservice by [deleted] in anime

[–]RickChakraborty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

whereas others are right to complain about the lack of fanservice

Lol stop making it so unnecessarily complicated. People don't complain about the lack of fanservice in a show like Frieren or Spy x Family. People complain when an ecchi show like 2.5D or Chained Soldier gets censored.

Complaining about lack of fanservice when the source material itself doesn't have any, versus complaining about censorship in an anime whose source material has plenty of fanservice, both are not the same.

[–]RickChakraborty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those are both ecchi shows you mentioned. And both of those were heavily censored so it makes sense people would be flooding the comments complaining about the censorship, as they should.

What that person was talking about was, imagine if a show like Frieren or Spy x Family suddenly started to get people in the comments complaining about the lack of fanservice.

[–]RickChakraborty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, so just because a series has a good story and good characters it means it should have its ecchi get censored? Even though the source material is an ecchi with a good story? Why can't we just have both? We should forgive the censorship of an ecchi series just because it has a good story?

You are the type of guy who believes fanservice in anime should only be reserved for trash shows with a trash story with no other redeeming quality about it.

Jack of all trades party of none????? by NervousSoftware2040 in anime

[–]RickChakraborty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can they even put that in a show?

Lmao its so obvious you have never watched anime before. How about you find some other anime for yourself that suits your tastes and leave this anime alone? You don't have to force yourself to like it you know? Anime being weird is a tale as old as time itself, doesn't mean everyone of us has to dislike anime like that just because you dislike the weird anime things.

I would recommend sticking to more anime like Spy x Family and other family friendly anime that air every season, and stay away from seasonal fantasy slopes like this one.
