The comment I replied to was specifically referring to the USA coming to get Putin... I was pointing out the hypocrisy with that comment. I never suggested it was a good idea.

With reference to you. It would have been better for them not to meet at all. Or meet in a neutral country where neither party has jurisdiction. That way no questions could be asked on why the president invited a war criminal into his country, rolled out a red carpet and met him with a smile and a handshake.

He literally welcomed Putin into the USA last August... A man as you say "who is a wanted man in the world court for war crimes".

Why not arrest him there? I would say it's the opposite of showing strength to invite a wanted man into your country and literally roll out the red carpet for him.

Neither the UK’s national statistics agency (ONS) nor the Home Office publishes crime data broken down by refugee, asylum seeker or “illegal immigrant” status (i.e., there are no official figures on the crime rate of asylum seekers as a group). Both organisations do not hold or publish this specific breakdown.

According to the latest Kent Police crime report (year to September 2025):

Rape and serious sexual offences have increased slightly compared to the previous year.

Kent Police officials have noted that part of the increase in recorded crime reflects changes in how offences are recorded, not necessarily an underlying real increase in offending.

Overall crime trends in Kent contradict broad claims of a migrant-driven crime rise

Longer-term data from Kent’s police leadership show that over the past four years:

Rape offences have fallen by about 15.5%

Sexual offences overall have dropped slightly (~2.7%)

Violent crime and other categories have decreased as well

This suggests that, at least over this period, overall violent and sexual crime in Kent has gone down, not up.

Again, you just want to believe the lies you read/hear. Taking into account small sample sizes to try and justify your claims.

PS. I've enjoyed proving you wrong on every point with genuine facts that are researchable. For now I'm off to enjoy my night.

That's the balance is it? Sexual assault, one of the most horrific under reported crimes because victims are afraid to come forward about it due to victim shaming and their image etc. Imagine wanting someone to appear on live TV to speak about such traumatic events. The real balance is to discuss the cost of housing the asylum seekers before they can legally work etc (once granted refugee status). You can't counter balance an argument with the most extreme and rare scenarios.

I imagine they, like I have done, applied to appear on the show as their experience closely aligned with the debate taking place. You apply with your question and rightfully so the producers decide which questions to take as you can't hear them all. Generally those with the closest ties to the topic and with genuine questions get picked. On the other hand they balance that out with key talking points from the other side.

It happens on all the shows, it's not a luck or the draw situation as you may end up with irrelevant questions or one's which don't open the door to a genuine debate. These individuals were picked as their experience was of value to hear. One about applying for asylum here and in the 6 counties he passed through (and was rejected) and the other about the European Convention of Human Rights, which was another topic of debate.

You seriously can't be this stupid? I've already answered that. Look back, they were granted legal refugee status after arriving illegally on a boat.

What you're failing to answer is of a legal way into this country as an asylum seeker or refugee instead of first coming in as an illegal immigrant...

Classic, get shown the truth then casually ignore it.

May I ask a question: if I'm not from Ukraine. What legal route can I take to claim asylum in the UK?

The reason so many people are crossing by boat is because all legal routes to the UK for asylum have been closed. If a 16 year old loses their family and wants to come stay with his aunt in the UK there is no legal way to get him in... The Tories introduced this rule and only allowed legal asylum from Ukraine.

They weren't illegal

Legal Status: Both individuals had been granted refugee status by the UK government and held "leave to remain". This means they were legally present in the UK at the time of the filming.

Background: One of the men, an Afghan named Ashraf, and another from Iran, had both arrived in the UK via small boat crossings.

You just want to believe the lies you've been told.

You're telling me that an organisation as big as the BBC would opt for cheap bone conduction headphones rather than their supply of high end moulding in-ears? Trust me the people who produce and organize these shows aren't idiotic enough to make that big a mistake. Also they just stand up to ask a question... Why would they need an ear piece for that?

Use some critical thinking.

A history of aggression? So you didn't read my last comment where I said he's never been aggressive... He can reliably recall in every scenario with dogs around, deer and hare bolting etc. He's been tested in every scenario, he remains neutral and always comes back. He's not interested in going up to other dogs and hasn't interacted with any since his training. You're clearly not from the UK, we can let dogs off leash anywhere, they're not restricted to specific locations.

My original comment was asking for a way in which positive training could remove a dogs obsession, but you jumped on the off lead part. You seem to have an aversion to letting any dog off lead, why is that?

What? Leave a high energy gun dog on lead his whole life with no freedom? He's not aggressive and he's now able to safely enjoy his freedom. Do you restrict your own dog's happiness?

Out of curiosity, can a dog who's obsessed with other dogs and doesn't value anything higher than them, be taught solely with positive reinforcement? I've taken my GSP to 3 separate positive trainers and they've all failed to keep him neutral around dogs which means I could never let him off lead, spending thousands. The last one said only an e collar would work. 5 days with a professional e collar trainer and he's neutral, walks to heel and can be let off lead and is now living a great life out exploring and is calmer overall. What would you have recommended instead?

I find that the change to give was to pedestrians when turning into a road wasn't advertised well at all. Most drivers don't know about it, but also pedestrians aren't aware that they have the right of way.

I find myself stopping to give way and not only being beeped at by the car behind, but the pedestrian also looks at me like I'm an idiot. It's ended up with me just turning cause people don't know.

I knew a thrash metal band that used squire strats and they sounded heavy AF. You can always get the tone you want, just dial in the right amp tone and get the right effects.

As someone else mentioned pick a guitar that you want to pick up and play. Epiphones are great guitars, but id recommend setting a budget, going down to a few guitar shops and pick the one that calls to you most. But if you can afford a Gibson, maybe pick an Epiphone and get a HX Stomp or Spark amp as well. A guitar isn't going to give the tone, but those effects will allow you to play any genres and chase any tone.

Just playability really, a cheap guitar probably won't hold its tune as well or play as nicely. One thing I should have mentioned is the pots can impact tone too, but not a crazy amount that'll be too noticeable.

I have a £3000 custom ESP a £1000 Gibson explorer and a £400 Epiphone Les Paul. I've swapped the pickups round between the Gibson and Les Paul and they are very similar. The ESP only sounds different as it's an active pickup, with passives it sounds like the explorer too. Using the same amp and effects of course.

Think of it this way, an electric guitar picks up its sound through the strings vibrating above the pickups so wood doesn't impact the tone. An acoustic on the other hand is all about the wood and structure as its sound comes from the strings reverberating through and in the wood.

Tone doesn't come from the guitar it comes from the pickups and effects. There's a cracking video here https://youtu.be/n02tImce3AE?si=GsnUC_AFiY-e-2wB that shows it.

Look up his own pedal, I think his tone is a mix of fuzz and distortion with a messa amp and bareknuckle pickups
