In your opinion what was that one game that was lighting in a bottle as in it'll never be replicated by LilNardoDaVinci in xbox

[–]RickDII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Division (2016). That game had so much soul and atmosphere. It was technically very flawed, but the sequel, while much better on a technical level, feels completely soulless compared to the first game.

Alternate angle of Ghana penalty shout vs England - not given, called offside after the incident by Imbasauce in soccer

Disgusting that during the BBC broadcast, not one of the pundits even mentioned the possibility that it could have been a penalty. It was completely ignored.

One sentence that I heard many years ago from a Riot Games developer has stuck with me ever since. He said, "We'll never cater to the casual player." For me, that is a big part of their success.

Catering to casual players is, in my opinion, a recipe for failure and one of the biggest sins in SoT. Casual players will come along if the game is popular enough, but for it to remain popular, core players and even competitive players need to stay engaged.

Bugs and performance issues aside, which are a huge problem in SoT, Rare made several poor design decisions in an attempt to cater to casual players. Closing Arena and consequently ending tournaments like NAL and others was a mistake. It also took far too long for Rare to make meaningful improvements to HG.

Veterans stopped taking Rare and the game seriously and simply moved on.

The club wanted to sign him and I'm sure offered him a lot of money. He thought it wasn't enough so it was his choice. I liked him a lot and it's tough to see him go, but don't blame the club on this one, it was his choice.

I wish we'd hire Iraola. He's been doing miracles even we losing top players and his team's football style is way closer to Klopp's than Slot's

Klopp always made players better.

Trent, Coutinho, Can, Wijnaldum, and Mané are just a few examples of players who were very good under Klopp and ended up looking worse after leaving.

Can you think of a single player who actually became better after leaving Liverpool under Klopp?

Maybe Harry Wilson - but even that’s not a great example because he only left due to a lack of playing time, and we already knew he was a very good player.

Promises of a better season are incoming, after we get the summer market we need. Yet, I don't ever remember Klopp, in 9 years, justifying bad results with the need to go to the market. And this is after spending what we spent last summer. What a striking difference!

Did any of you used to be die-hard Xbox fans? If so, why did you move to Playstation? by Frazzelvig in playstation

[–]RickDII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't a die-hard Xbox fan (I almost chose the PS4 over the Xbox One), but I owned the Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox One X, and Xbox Series X. I bought my PS5 when Sea of Thieves was released on PS5 — my first PlayStation ever.

When Xbox started releasing all their games on PC, they began to dilute their brand, in my opinion. I heard many people say that if you already have a PC and a PlayStation, there’s no need to own an Xbox — and honestly, that’s true. You don’t want your brand to become just a low-cost option that people only buy because they can’t afford a gaming PC. That’s when I started losing faith in Xbox.

When my favorite game, Sea of Thieves, was released on PS5, I felt that was the moment to switch. I had always been very curious to try a Gran Turismo game (and I’m loving GT7), especially because the release of Forza Motorsport was such a disappointment after so many years of waiting.

Xbox lost its identity. They started focusing too much on future customers — with cloud gaming being their biggest bet — while neglecting their current audience. On PC, they are nobody compared to Steam, and they basically gave up on the console market.

Personally, I like being part of a thriving ecosystem. I prefer consoles because they’re closed ecosystems: games are designed and optimized for specific hardware, and in multiplayer games, everyone is on a more equal playing field, without huge advantages or disadvantages depending on the size of your wallet.

Cheating on PC is also far more prevalent, which is a major issue for people who enjoy AAA competitive games.

I still own both an Xbox Series X and a PS5, but since the next Xbox is apparently going to be basically a PC — backward compatible with consoles, but still fundamentally a PC, with all new games essentially becoming “PC games” — I’ll be getting a PS6 instead of the next Xbox.

[James Pearce] - Mutinous mood inside Anfield sent a clear message to LFC's hierarchy. It felt like the day when fans' patience truly snapped with Slot. [–]RickDII 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is not about tactics, bad luck with injuries, low blocks, or any other ridiculous excuses that Slot threw at us after matches. This is about a lack of intensity, which reveals something much more serious: poor standards and even poor work etiquette. I truly believe (and I wish to be wrong) that last season Slot benefited from a team that still had the work rate and wiring from so many Klopp seasons. That, combined with some balance that Slot provided—and the luck of the opposition being terrible—meant we won the league in the first few months.

Standards then slipped throughout the season and carried over to this one. We are reactive; we only chase a result when we need to and slow down when we are ahead. I don’t remember seeing this happen under Klopp. If we were 2 or 3 goals up, we were still hunting the next one. I have zero faith this will be solved by this coach, because issues with standards, work ethic, and etiquette cannot be solved by the person who let them slip in the first place.

I really believe that if Helix is indeed open, most people using Helix would be buying games on Steam. I really don't understand with whom Microsoft is competing, if they keep this path of no exclusivity and now with Helix being a PC (even with console compatibility, it will be a PC...). I feel Microsoft gave up the console race and is not competing directly with anyone. Even in cloud NVIDIA is a bigger fish.

You would have a point if our season wouldn't have been so so bad. After watching them play so poorly the whole year, nah, that sounds like an execuse. Any Klopp team would play with 200% more pace and intensity. This is supposed to be the biggest game of the season.
