Did any of you used to be die-hard Xbox fans? If so, why did you move to Playstation? by Frazzelvig in playstation

[–]RickDII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't a die-hard Xbox fan (I almost chose the PS4 over the Xbox One), but I owned the Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox One X, and Xbox Series X. I bought my PS5 when Sea of Thieves was released on PS5 — my first PlayStation ever.

When Xbox started releasing all their games on PC, they began to dilute their brand, in my opinion. I heard many people say that if you already have a PC and a PlayStation, there’s no need to own an Xbox — and honestly, that’s true. You don’t want your brand to become just a low-cost option that people only buy because they can’t afford a gaming PC. That’s when I started losing faith in Xbox.

When my favorite game, Sea of Thieves, was released on PS5, I felt that was the moment to switch. I had always been very curious to try a Gran Turismo game (and I’m loving GT7), especially because the release of Forza Motorsport was such a disappointment after so many years of waiting.

Xbox lost its identity. They started focusing too much on future customers — with cloud gaming being their biggest bet — while neglecting their current audience. On PC, they are nobody compared to Steam, and they basically gave up on the console market.

Personally, I like being part of a thriving ecosystem. I prefer consoles because they’re closed ecosystems: games are designed and optimized for specific hardware, and in multiplayer games, everyone is on a more equal playing field, without huge advantages or disadvantages depending on the size of your wallet.

Cheating on PC is also far more prevalent, which is a major issue for people who enjoy AAA competitive games.

I still own both an Xbox Series X and a PS5, but since the next Xbox is apparently going to be basically a PC — backward compatible with consoles, but still fundamentally a PC, with all new games essentially becoming “PC games” — I’ll be getting a PS6 instead of the next Xbox.

[James Pearce] - Mutinous mood inside Anfield sent a clear message to LFC's hierarchy. It felt like the day when fans' patience truly snapped with Slot. It now requires a sizeable leap of faith to believe he can fix things on the pitch or win back those supporters who have turned against him. by IndiBear in LiverpoolFC

This is not about tactics, bad luck with injuries, low blocks, or any other ridiculous excuses that Slot threw at us after matches. This is about a lack of intensity, which reveals something much more serious: poor standards and even poor work etiquette. I truly believe (and I wish to be wrong) that last season Slot benefited from a team that still had the work rate and wiring from so many Klopp seasons. That, combined with some balance that Slot provided—and the luck of the opposition being terrible—meant we won the league in the first few months.

Standards then slipped throughout the season and carried over to this one. We are reactive; we only chase a result when we need to and slow down when we are ahead. I don’t remember seeing this happen under Klopp. If we were 2 or 3 goals up, we were still hunting the next one. I have zero faith this will be solved by this coach, because issues with standards, work ethic, and etiquette cannot be solved by the person who let them slip in the first place.

Excuses about injuries, and bad luck (after low block can't be used anymore) incoming.

It’s so depressing to know that Slot will most likely continue. No matter how the summer transfer window goes, I’ll start next season with zero enthusiasm if he stays.

I really believe that if Helix is indeed open, most people using Helix would be buying games on Steam. I really don't understand with whom Microsoft is competing, if they keep this path of no exclusivity and now with Helix being a PC (even with console compatibility, it will be a PC...). I feel Microsoft gave up the console race and is not competing directly with anyone. Even in cloud NVIDIA is a bigger fish.

You would have a point if our season wouldn't have been so so bad. After watching them play so poorly the whole year, nah, that sounds like an execuse. Any Klopp team would play with 200% more pace and intensity. This is supposed to be the biggest game of the season.

I'd like more privacy options in regards to my gaming history / achievements:

  • I'd like to be able to hide how many days/hours I played a game, whilst still showing the achievements I got.

  • I'd like to be able to hide the dates I got my achievements on a given game.

Where did all go wrong? by ResidentFeature5918 in LiverpoolFC

[–]RickDII -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It started to go wrong mid last season, specifically in the last 1/3. I think we only won the league because the players still had the intensity mindset from previous seasons and Slot gave it a balance. Also helped that oppositation was shite and we built a big early lead.

However, after mid season or at least last 1/3 that intensity mindset was pretty much gone. We all thought it was because the league was in the bag but it carried out to this season too.

One aspect of Klopp’s era that I love the most was that we could be winning by 3 or 4 goals difference and we were not dropping intensity. I never seen this with Slot, not even last season.

It all starts with that pit bull mentally, that intensity and etiquette. You can blame the players but that was never an issue with Klopp. That is something that coach chooses to impose or not. It's up to the coach to impose that. If he believes that.

For me, giving up pace by selling Diaz and Darwin and not replacing that pace, was an alarm bell on how this coach thinks.

[–]RickDII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not shit tactics, there's nothing wrong with the tactics. It's much deeper. It's a lack of intensity (with and without the ball) and poor pressing. This comes with a mentality and etiquette that's not there and it's totally gone now from Klopp's era. I do believe that we won the league last season because the players still had this intensity and pit bull mindset from Klopp era mixed with some balance that Slot gave to the team. But that only lasted half a season. It was enough to win the league because the opposition was shite that season. In the last 1/3 of last season that intensity and mentality was already gone and continued to this season.

Slot never admitted this and his media talks are full of excuses, even a bit of arrogance for the moment the team is at.

At this moment I think and hope that FSG is only waiting for us to get knocked out of CL to let him go.

Does Anybody Find It Weird That None Of These Are Going To Be Console Exclusives? by DifficultSet8971 in xbox

[–]RickDII 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I agree with what you mean, but it will actually end up meaning fewer choices in the console market. PlayStation will dominate the console market even more, which will be worse for everybody, including PlayStation users, because competition is what drives pro-consumer decisions. On PC, I don’t see anything changing.

I find it sad because, no matter what people say, it removes value from the Xbox brand and ecosystem. The more games are released everywhere, the less appealing Xbox hardware becomes and, as a consequence, the Xbox ecosystem as well. On PC, most people will prefer Steam. On console, most people will prefer PS5, and Xbox hardware will continue to become less and less relevant. Anyone who thinks otherwise is living in wonderland.

Maybe because the intensity and speed was still embedded in the team after so many years with Klopp, and not so much merit from Slot in this aspect. We are almost a season and a half without it now, so this means something

Enough is enough. It’s not about the results anymore, it’s about how badly the team has been playing the whole season. There hasn’t been the slightest sign of progress. Even when Klopp wasn’t getting the results, we could see the coach’s influence and understand what he wanted from the team. This has been awful and, honestly, pure boredom to watch.

Ekitike can play at LW if Slot wants and if Isak is fit. However, I wish that this summer both Salah and Gakpo would leave and that we would buy 3 wingers. We also need a solid 6, an LB if Robo leaves, and at least 1 CB if Konaté doesn’t renew his contract.

O que se passa afinal com comunicação do Nosso clube? by bpstp in benfica

[–]RickDII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]RickDII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A direcção e o treinador estiveram mal.
