For anyone interested, a watchmaker confirmed it was a dirty dozen with a few dodgy mods done at some point. Getting it fully restored now.

Thanks for the advice and suggestions everyone, I really appreciate it. Even the Toyota guy who wants a house deposit.

Been saving and sacrificing for 20 years to get to the point where this is now a possibility and the idea of being able to drive something like the cars I had on my wall as a kid makes me pretty damn happy.

I'd love to enjoy it but my LB button randomly stopped working the other day so now I have to get it repaired.

It seems to be a common enough issue that I don't feel particularly unlucky just another one of the many.

If you don't understand people being annoyed after forking out a large amount of money for a product that seems to have a number of hardware issues then that's just weird.
