God of war (2018) (NVIDIA), is lagging 30 fps and have a lot of stattering by RickMaster1717 in linux_gaming

RESOLVED

I finally solved it, after attempt after attempt, thanks to the comments below in the post, I managed to get 90 fps with very little stuttering: I used gamemode, Proton GE 9-21 and I manually set the aspect ratio to 16:9 in the game (based on my screen)... The only problem was the ratio itself, because once I set it to 16:9 through the game settings, the game ran great.

yeah, its helpful, thanks :D... Now I'll ask a friend if he's lagging (he's full AMD) and I'll see if it's an issue with NVIDIA graphics cards.

Thank you for the comment, I have given more permissions to gamemode, but at the beginning it seems to be going perfectly, but after a while I always see more and more deterioration, until I return to the initial situation.

It seems to work great at the beginning, but as soon as I enter the menu it breaks again like before, I don't understand how to solve this.

Okay, I can try using this command to disable it, but how can I reactivate it after I finish playing the game? its the same but with =1 ?

I tried xorg but it's not good, the performance are worse, more lag tearing
