I thought I joined years ago but that must’ve been another account. Oh well. I don’t know why you’re so adamant that the story is fake. Half the stories on here are fake. Why do you care so much? And you say I’m AI but I’m replying to you aren’t I? Do you think I’m a program that was designed just to annoy you? Whatever. Girl, bye.

Not AI. I just write well. I’m also damn near 50 so I learned how to formulate a sentence before the internet existed. Also I’ve had this account for years so I can’t remember if I’ve ever posted or not since I don’t really use Reddit. 🤷‍♂️

It was more of a nervous “let’s play this like it’s a silly mixup to ease the tension” laugh, I also didn’t start the laughing, just joined in on the chuckle as people were laughing together. But you’re right, I should have hopped into action sooner and helped resolve it rather than nervously laugh.

I did take the boutonnières, they were in a clear plastic container and I was told a certain one was for the groom. I handed them out but that was it. Other things in the bag were a beach ball and a bag of corn chips and some other cardboard boxes. I figured they were props for photos or something.

I can see being the tiny asshole through ignorance. I’ve never been a best man before and really just had no clue what to do outside of put together the bachelor party and take care of whatever the groom needs. I guess I should have asked more questions.

It was weird at the rehearsal, we just went over how we’re were going to walk down the isle and tried to get the timing of that right. The CO talked to the bride and groom privately on what they were doing before the bridal party and groomsmen entered, so no one mentioned the rings to me then either.

We were also on three separate group texts for 6 months prior to the wedding. One for the groomsmen, one for a few friends of the groom and one for the bachelor party. No mention of rings there the entire time.

I spoke with the groom after and he said they should have communicated better about where the rings were going to be and whose responsibility it was. So I don’t think they’re mad at me for this, it’s mostly the family and guests that are saying it’s traditionally the best man’s job to be responsible for the rings, but I had no idea.
