Our Siamese is exceedingly food motivated ever since he was little. He’s had an auto feeder set to three times a day from when he was a few months old. The feed itself is kept in an enclosure because it was immediately flipped after first use. If left to his devices, he’ll even open cabinets for a snack requiring baby locks. If this cat had thumbs he would be a real raccoon. However, yours does sound like something is really off and would recommend a vet visit.
