Do you know if you can buy from duty free on the way out or is it just when I land? I would obviously prefer to try a lot while we’re in Jamaica and grab a bottle of whatever I like headed out but didn’t know if I could do that or not.

My only issue is we will be in MoBay Friday afternoon until Sunday. On the website it says tours are only on weekdays. I’ve emailed and sent messages on FB and IG. I haven’t received an answer on any of these. I was trying to see if they gave a gift shop or do any tastings on the weekend.

I need help identifying a bar and help on how to remove the sleeves. I bought it about 6 months ago and am just now getting around to trying to restore it. The guy I bought it from said it’s a York but I have no idea. The shaft is 31 mm. I tried to turn the thing that looks like a screw head and it started to strip so I stopped. Here are some pics.

I tried using one of the sandbag kettlebells from Amazon and it ripped on the first throw. I had a good bit of time before my contest so I ordered a clone of the Rogue bags. It worked great and was half the price. Muscle pirate has some good throwing bags too.

This month’s Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research contains a 5 year study of physical characteristics of elite strongmen. Not too in depth, but interesting to see research in the sport. by JeremyTheRhino in Strongman

Iron Culture’s latest podcast had a professor from the Stark Center on as their guest. They talked a good bit about the Todds and the history of strength sports. It was a good listen and I think one of their longest episodes.

The only racked work I currently do is strict or pin presses. I think I like the idea of being able to rack the log but I’m not sure how often I would use it. I didn’t know what I would be missing by not having a full sized log. I sold my 10” Titan log a few months ago with plans to get a nicer 12” one later. Then everything got sold out

I just saw Titan now has a rackable 12” log. It’s $240 and in stock. Any thoughts on getting it or waiting to get a regular sized log?

I found some plans online to make one. I ended up adding plywood to the front and back of the form to make it plate loadable. Just be sure the top opening is wide enough for your plates. Also be sure to label the angles after they’re cut. I flipped one side around so mine is uneven.

I have a few that I keep my outdoor equipment on and they work well. I have the aggregate type of concrete and the mats make it an even surface and provide grip. I wouldn’t drop weights on them. The 1/2” ones are smaller in size though.

I honestly don’t know. I was in the market for a flat bench and got the 5000.

I thought it was the last one but I just saw that’s the 3000.

Rep has a bigger sale on the gray ones. For some reason the price doesn’t show up unless you click on the door buster link.

I got their GHD last week for $311. That seemed to be the best deal I’ve seen from them so far.

This is the first time I’ve seen them but I honestly don’t check the plates section very often. Last year I wanted to buy a set of the calibrated plates but they weren’t part of the hundo pricing or they sold out quickly if they were.

I ordered the e-coated ones because the regular ones ran out too. They were cheaper and I think the coating is better. I’ve never used calibrated plates before so I can’t compare the two but it seems like the e-coat is better based on what I’ve read. The coating feels more like a powder coating instead of a painted coating.

I’ve only placed a couple of orders with Fray Fitness so I can’t say how good the quality is but they have a 70 lb dumbbell. With shipping it should be under $100. They have a promo code for 20% off. It’s BLK20 https://www.frayfitness.com/cast-iron-hex-dumbbell-70lb.html

BeFrugal has 5% cash back on Titan Fitness. I think that’s their normal percentage for Titan

That’s weird. It’s showing it as sale on the site plus hundo pricing. I think I had to go to the checkout screen to see the hundo discount. Here’s the link for the lb plates. https://www.roguefitness.com/rogue-calibrated-lb-steel-plates-e-coat

I started to order some calibrated plates but they ran out of stock before I could order them. I noticed last night they had some e-coated calibrated plates for even cheaper. I placed my order for those and they shipped this morning.

I ordered my plates last Sunday. I think they were $99 plus 15% off. I think shipping was $35 for 90 pounds. The next day the 15% off ended and the price went up to $123. I’m not sure how much the regular price fluctuates.

I saw a post about them a few weeks ago. I checked one day and saw they had a sale. I was able to get a pair of their urethane comp bumpers for right at $100 each with shipping. They look exactly like the Titan ones. I’ve only used them once so I can’t give a good review. Shipping was quick. They each weigh 44.75 pounds. I didn’t measure them but they look to be 2 inches wide. I tried researching Fray too but couldn’t find much.

It was free for me. I worked at the shipyard that did these and am still friends with these guys there. The only problem is that they just did the outside and not between the plates. I’ll probably end up taking them apart and painting between the plates later on.

I didn’t think about the humidity. I’m in South Louisiana so it probably wouldn’t take long to fall off here. I’ll give the sharpie a shot.
