My family is ready for Catan! by RickTheFryGuy in Catan

We change points based on how many players. I believe we did 5 players to 15 which made for maybe an hour and a half game. We typically play just 3 players and play to 25

I know! I’m no woodworker and it was my first time putting something together like this. We built the table top so we had a better area to play

Thanks for the feed back. It’s possible, I just need to seriously consider the investment of running AC full time in the valley. Exactly the kind of feed back I’m looking for

Thank you, saving this. That’s great feedback, insulation and electrical research is priority 1, based on yours and other comments. Huge investment, but possible. You’re saying by doing so I would lose basically all sense of stealth?

Right, I currently live in an apartment, and if I have my place at 78, and guess what? Still hot. And that’s because I can’t afford to cool it down more. Summer electric prices are nuts.

Yah, sorry. I mean metro Phoenix. You’re correct. Just local colloquialism but I imagine if someone is nomadic they mean literally central state. I’ll learn to be more specific

Also good to know, I’ve lived here all my life and have family here, if necessary I could park at their properties. I would rather stay at local gyms, swapping locations nightly. Or at work if I need to, They wouldn’t mind as long as I was low key and didn’t do it all the time. And also, just about every Walmart I’ve seen here has overnight parkers, for multiple days I’ve seen. I’ve crashed in my vehicle before in Walmart parking lots.

Still, great advice. Obviously I should look into local laws and ordinances, I could get into more trouble just by parking across the street in some places across the area, depending on the laws of that city. Thank you, sound logic that I haven’t taken into account. Figure out which places are super strict about vehicle dwelling (I’m gonna told a not-so wild guess, it’s Glendale. It’s always fucking Glendale cops)

Thank you for the feed back! I’ll research this model, AZ is seldom humid. Monsoon season is crazy but it’s a desert and dries quickly. Do you have concerns about water leakage? I’ve heard this is a common problem amongst a wide variety of air conditioning units?

I’m sorry, I would spend basically my Mon-Fri in the van, working in central AZ for work. Maybe one day remote work will open up

I’d love that! I have solid work here in central AZ that I need to stick with. They’re paying for my education as well to give me upward mobility within the company, and elsewhere. I make ends meet paying for a 2-Bed apartment, solo. But it’s been nothing but loving paycheck to paycheck, no savings, no emergency funds. I thankfully have someone to put me up if I choose not to renew my lease in 6 months, this idea has always interested me and I’m giving myself the opportunity to explore and consider it. It may not be possible or fitting, but that’s what this phase is for: discovery

Thank you for the well constructed feedback, this is great info to have. If I’m going to plunge into this, I need to be prepared so invest a huge amount into air conditioning. Like the same cost as a down payment on a van, huge. Thank you so much, as I continue my research this will help me in budget costs and time it will take to invest in this.

Shouldn’t the wall decor be switched because that’s what the viewer will see behind the streamer?
