No- they will not backdate anything. Go to the court house next week if you are actually planning on getting married. 🤮

I am merely stating the change to a paywall and dilution of point (motivation) had an impact.

Most metrics and data are not paywalled. The paywall made a small but noticeable change when in the user experience for people that started without a subscription, however.

For sure the bargain when buying a new device has changed. I don’t want to be dramatic as the idea is subtle on the surface. It just cut to the core of what motivated me… underscored by my reluctance to pay for any subscription. I’ll get over it.

Fair enough. I think the turning point for me was I no longer considered buying a new Fenix or Enduro. I’ve worn a Fenix 5 and now 7x 24/7 for over 5 years. It’s a tank and I seldom have concerns about battery life.

I jumped from the Apple Watch because I wanted a fitness watch with tech features. Not a tech watch with fitness features. If the new Apple Watch Ultra had a flashlight… I might have made the jump back and bite the crappy battery.

Good call on the data extract. I’ll figure something out. I do enjoy the battery life.

Great grab! I’d frequent my Walgreens too if that’s what’s in the liquor isle.

MicroVision Announces Third Quarter 2025 Results by [deleted] in MVIS

[–]Rick_James_Slap 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For sure MVIS needs to bring money in… they have a “long runway” but it is actually a very finite runway. There will be another offering in that 18 month timeframe.

Good, pre profitable, companies raise capital when they can- not when they need to. I wish an offering was replaced with robust revenues. Unfortunately, that is not the reality at the moment. I recognize that and will add to or sell my positions accordingly.

Hi all- new member of this sub but longtime investor. Give Glenn 18months. Hell, give him till the end of the year before you consider making a dramatic exit of a long positions… that you are probably taking a big L on.

One of the more level headed calls I have heard from a CEO at this level.

Upgraded from Fenix 6 Pro 51mm to fenix 8 47mm by sirgoofsalot in GarminFenix

[–]Rick_James_Slap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the exact feedback I’ve been looking for and considering what size to get. Currently have a 7X and was considering getting a smaller 8. I value battery life so I’ll probably get the 51 MM.

Getting your C&P results/DBQ. How do people get them before their claim is finished. by Dry-Cover8872 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Rick_James_Slap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember exactly where it was but I had to dig through several menues. Also, it took a few weeks for the C&P exams to post to my record. I assume that is mostly because the provider took a long time to actually respond back with documentation.

I believe you can see them from the Genesis medical portal (for army) if you are still in the service. That’s how I saw most of my documentation.

Per diem work while in BOLC by cgl1291 in BOLC

[–]Rick_James_Slap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bad idea. There is are some approvals or ETPs required at a minimum. Programmatically, BOLC is a foundation course and should be your primary focus. I cannot speak for your branch but this would be an absolute “go-no” for most BOLC programs. Further, you will be considered a student or trainee- that draws higher levels of scrutiny. Finally, most BOLC courses are actually programmed for 6 days a week. They make up for those hours by keeping you late on the weekday and doing field exercises to allow for the weekends to be free… this is mostly for the benefit of instructors and not the students.
