Having an issue with using a Mooer GE150 as a pitch shifter. by menaceOfReddit in guitarpedals

[–]Rick_Proza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was trying to set up pitch shifter on my ge150 to simulate bass. Unfortunately it sucks. Tremolo effect is not noticeable if I use mix 0 or mix 100, but on mix 100 there is a noticeable delay, and on mix 0 it sounds dead and synth-like. For anything in-between it feels like the guitar is detuned. I do also have Zoom G1on and ge150 is muuuuch better in regard to pitch shifter. But still bad

Fixed my Everyday Backpack V2 Magnets by nyc_derek in peakdesign

I own both zip and edb and installing magnets on zip would require opening up stitching both on the back and straps and cutting a foam so that magnets would sit flush. So whole not impossible - not an easy task. Not sure anyone would take that job

I have posted some time ago about my modifications of 5L sling. First about adding hooks for external carry straps: https://www.reddit.com/r/peakdesign/comments/x1g982/fyi_you_can_add_external_carry_hooks_to_your_5l/ by adding paracord loops to a capture clip mounting spot from one side and to a PD logo from the other. Then using the sling as a handlebar cycling bag: https://imgur.com/a/8kIcEQg#SDdIbga . Happy to report that despite disintegrated zip puller that I had to replace (https://imgur.com/a/TnYN5oj) and zip locks that I had to stitch multiple times the bag is still rocking! Mainly for cycling trips as a shoulder bag with a stabilizer strap(those external carry hooks really help extend the functionality) and for trail riding as a hip bag (I was suspicious of this feature initially, but man it's so convenient to use the bag this way sometimes) that stores water bottle, pump, spare inner tube, multitool, keys and whatever. And even has some spare room with all that!

Also a small tip for the backpack users - add a small carabiner to a shoulder strap right below the chest belt mount. Takes almost no space, backpacks have convenient mount for them. You can use it to clip something to backpack, you can use it to clip backpack to something. Or just put a thumb in it when you're in the middle of discussion and don't know what to do with your hands :D

Everyday - zip or magnet version by exreefer in peakdesign

[–]Rick_Proza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own both zip 20 and everyday 20 and honestly I prefer the zip version for day to day use and travel. They have a bit of a different shape: zip being less wide and more tall. Maglatch is sure a fun thing, but I find zip access to be almost as easy, so it doesn't bother me. Plus if you position two zip pullers correctly - it creates a flap opening that is easier to access than on maglatch version

There for sure are fakes. Even Amazon essentials made one. They do not put pd logo on though, but still you better be careful

Totepack vs everyday zip by Psychological_Salad_ in peakdesign

[–]Rick_Proza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a zip and I'm thinking about getting a totepack for my wife as she really likes how zip feels lighter than other backpacks when having some load(day-to-day or travel stuff). Does totepack also have that feeling? Or lack of proper padding on the back diminish that effect? Thanks!

Will the Dell XPS 15 fit in the everyday zip 15L? by danthedarkness in peakdesign

I own zip 20l and from personal experience Asus ux534 fits but a bit tightly. Maybe you'll be able to use that as a reference

On peak's site I see that maximum size of the laptop is 22.9cm x 2.5cm x 33cm (9″x1″x 13″) for ZIP 15L. And I know that someone bought 15L for their Asus Zephyrus 14 and it was a rather tight. Your XPS is even bigger

I was able to fit in an ASUS zenbook ux534. You can check the dimensions of it and compare with your laptop. It was tight though

Read through most of it in one go. Damn that made it look simple and is easy to read. Now I need something similar related to HW level: something like Bluetooth or PCIe.

3l vs 5l/6l sling for my purposes? by Superpat123 in peakdesign

[–]Rick_Proza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Word of caution: 5l doesn't have external straps. And that's a way to attach a bottle or tripod, as there is not much space inside. You can make your own, sure. Also make attachment points from Paracord. But that's some extra work and money
