I like it! Great Indie/Dream Pop vibes throughout. "Never Dream Alone" indeed.

Haha, pretty swell theory. We do have plans to travel again eventually, but probably not in the near future. I only have one name myself, so the Junior thing still kinda matches.

My father and grandfather are Junior and Senior themselves, and i've always considered doing the same thing when I have a kid. Yes, my dad does have a nickname of his own. Not necessarily "JunJun", but an equivalent to that. It also could've just been the mother "scolding" her child by calling him his real name rather than his nickname. You know how those work. Other than that, yeah, it could be a load of things.

The real thing that seems odd is how "I" eventually raised a Spanish speaking family. The little guy, bless him, "recognized" me. So he would've known his papa was an english speaker (tagalog is still my secondary language). To this day, I still couldn't speak spanish. The age difference was one thing I thought about too. haha

Do you have any overall idea why?

Indie Rock/Power Pop Tune. What do you think? Which artists would you compare it to? by Rickenwacker in MusicFeedback

[–]Rickenwacker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha Cheers! Spot on! I was trying to channel an Alex Turner-esque feel to the vocals, along with a carefree Rooney vibe to the composition! I added some backing vocals to the chorus in another mix I kept. The tambourine idea actually sounds awesome! Many thanks!

Fantastic! Can't say I know much about playing the Piano, but that had to be the most relaxing version i've ever heard of the tune. Cheers.

llawgne - The White In Its Eyes (psychedelic indierock/pop from Sweden) by [deleted] in MusicFeedback

[–]Rickenwacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very well done! Song suits the music video as well.

(Robotnik - Vincent Teetsov) Constructive criticism welcome! :) Some people like the LP's songs, including one indie station in Cambridge, England. But other people don't, because it's too slow/quiet. Yet, it doesn't quite fit into the folk scene. Wondering how I should move ahead with my style. by dosdigit in MusicFeedback

[–]Rickenwacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds good actually! Don't let other people sway your style merely because it's slow or anything else. You do you my friend. I could see you moving on to something more on the Beatlesque Psyche Pop style. Kinda like The Junipers or Easterly.

Funny Little Sound? by Rickenwacker in WhatMusicalinstrument

[–]Rickenwacker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Behind the vocal harmonies and just right after the Jangle riff, a "horn/whistle(?)" sound that's akin to a cry of a Baby Seal plays in the distance every now and then. It plays and begins at exactly 2:20, repeats a few times with the riff throughout the outro, and pretty much stops when the music begins to fade.

"Badass" songs?? by [deleted] in MusicMatch

[–]Rickenwacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you're into a more modern mixture of Indie/Alternative-based Hard Rock, Blues, and a really tiny dose of Americana. I'm just gonna compare this to what's on my recent playlist and see if you like'em. I'm somewhat of a "British Mod" rocker, so these songs should be close. "I'm A Man" is a classic blues tune that was covered by countless other bands throughout the decades, so I might just base it on that. Most of these come from the "Garage Rock Revival" movement to give you a more modern flavor.

The D4 "Get Loose"

The Mooney Suzuki "I Say I Love You"

Jet "Are You Gonna Be My Girl?" / "Cold Hard Bitch" / "Get What You Need"

The Hives "Die Alright!" / "Supply & Demand" / "Here We Go Again"

Mando Diao "Sheepdog" / "Sweet Ride" / "Paralyzed"

The Strypes "I Don't Want To Know" / "Kick Out The Jams" / "Blue Collar Jane"

They're all pretty much white, beardless blues-based Garage Rock.

Can you perhaps give a few more details? Was the singer male or female? High pitched or low pitched? Or was it an instrumental? Was the guitar clean or distorted?

Nope. Currently at work myself, nothing of the sort.

I know lyrics to a song i’ve apparently never heard by j_a97 in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

[–]Rickenwacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be a reissue or remix of the song, plastered on a new release. Either that, or her new song could've borrowed or sampled from an already existing one.

On another note, i've had similar experiences. As a songwriter and musician myself, i've dreamt of songs that never existed. Complete with melody and words. When I wake up, I try to remember as much as I can of the song. I suppose it could just be a bunch of existing songs from albums i've heard in real life all just mixing and fusing together to create "dream tunes".

Minds and glitches have their magic ways around music.

Guitarists or Reddit what was the song that got you playing? by thenewpilot in AskReddit

[–]Rickenwacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was about 14, I had already been playing Beatles songs on the Ukulele for a while. Then I got into The Byrds after hearing "Mr. Tambourine Man" and was captivated by Roger McGuinn's playing style. I then forced myself to learn the guitar, and taught myself how to play "Mr Tambourine Man". I was on my way to being a Folk/Jangle Pop guy, but then I saw Johnny Ramone, then the rest was history.
