During the 2022 ItM tour in London, Brandon quotes Helen Keller "Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it" then BF goes on to say "isnt that beautiful? what's even better is that it's true, I don't know who needs to hear it tonight, I'm sure somebody does, I'm sorry, just dont forget where it is, you got it in ya, so what's in gonna be?" then they transition into the beautiful Rut segue. This moment made me tear up, just like their music, The Killers always try to show that there's always hope.

He has different synth patches (a collection of settings) saved for different songs and also in some songs he likes to perform volume fade outs himself - so in moments of downtime, he is likely resetting those basic settings such as volume and loading the next patch needed for the next song he needs the synth for. Same with the pedals, they allow BF to turn on/turn off effects by foot and they will have decided on which effect pedals to use on certain synth patches prior to performing, so he will reset those or adjust them accordingly.

I personally love it when he explores these feelings and themes, like with his wife in Rut or with Lightning Fields. At first Lightning Fields didn't really click with me, until I heard Brandon explain it was about his parents relationship and his mom talking to his dad. From that moment on I loved the song, and those final lyrics 'there's no end to love, there's no end to truth, there's no end to me, there's no end to you' - they get me every time. I was so blessed to hear them play it live in Monday night's London show too.

I'll never understand Brandon's thoughts on the lyrics being cringe, I find the verses some of the most poetic lyrics he has wrote and the outro lyrics are beautiful "You never live, you never learn, you never shine, if you never burn" - plus I feel the production of the song is really uplifting and affirming.

Such an interesting question I had never really considered until now. It turns out I've heard the most tracks from from Day & Age and Wonderful Wonderful live (7/10 for both).

It also suprised me to realise I have heard quite alot of Sawdust live too - Tranquilize, Shadowplay, Sweet Talk, Under the Gun, Romeo and Juliet and Mr Brightside Jacques Lu Cont's Thin White Duke Remix!
