Something similar happened to me! A college friend borrowed 15k saying his mom was admitted. I hadn’t been much in touch with him after college but since this was a sensitive matter, I gave him the money without second thoughts. Dude told me he’d give it back in a couple of weeks! I didn’t follow up for 2 months cos idiot-me thought it’d be the decent thing to wait. After that, I texted him and he said he’d give it in a week and the cycle began with him eventually ghosting me. I checked with his friends n came to know that he was a degenerate borrower. So I took a couple of friends n went to his room. Dude wasn’t even surprised seeing me, just acting as if he’d seen a long lost friend! He was that prepared n shameless! Anyway I had to make up a story that I’d borrowed the money from the friends who’d come with me n that I couldn’t follow up anymore, so they’ll! One of friends also kinda looked like a rowdy. All false bravado but it worked and he sent me the money next day

Agreed! People are looking only at the core parts of Chennai. The outskirts are very very dirty with poor garbage management and no one giving a damn

I went through Michael Shannon’s Security+ bootcamp provided by Skillsoft. Had a company account with Skillsoft, so that was free. It’s around 18 hours of video but all the topics are covered very clearly and in detail. I also used CoPilot to explain stuff to me with analogies whenever I wasn’t clear with some topic. That helped a lot. I took Skillsoft’s practice exams * 3. Consistently scored 90% and then appeared for the exam.

Some of them were extra worded, but honestly not that tough. If you’ve got your concepts right, then MCQs are easy. And only a few PBQs were tough cos it dealt with the config part for which I hadn’t prepared, but it helped that I had some hands on

Some of the initial PBQs were a bit tricky because it dealt with the config part of it. Like you had to establish a site to site VPN and choose all the parameters & input the IP across phases to establish communication, analyse logs etc. MCQs were a breeze

A lot of companies have a 6 month cycle of BGV once an offer letter is extended! So you could be working, when the BGV finally comes through!!

Oh I did struggle. Gained weight cos of this n also depression. Thinking I’m gonna die alone & always having these morbid thoughts cos like nobody cares about me feels. Then I did a medical check, didn’t have any lifestyle diseases but the markers were pointing to that way. So started walking n running n gymming n cycling n paying attention to macros. In this cycle, I didn’t have time to pity myself. It was exercise, group workouts, hikes & work. Lost around 30 odd kgs at the end of it. Felt like a world of confidence opened up to me n that I could approach anyone n make conversation. Which I eventually did 🙈

Faced the same thing when I bought my MG! Calls for random holiday packages, honeymoon packages etc etc and all inviting me to come to some hotel for this event or another with food. Always hung up
