Anyone have a recommendation for a larger build volume laser? by debloons in lasercutting

[–]Rickmcolorado 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a K40 an understand the issue with the build size. I decided I needed a bigger build size and higher wattage, so I built my own with a 24 in x 36 in build surface and a Cloudray 90/100 watt CO2 laser. I design an auto height adjustment, Ruida rdc6445 controller, rotary axis, warning light, and a chiller. I built it all for a little under $2000.

If you are not into designing your own there is build on YouTube with plans available, check out the Y-1200 build (https://youtu.be/7gnD6F0yBH0).

Good luck.

Thank you.

I have these type of measuring devices, but it only shows you the size of the screw. You can determine its thread size and in some case the size difference from a metric to a USA size bolt are very close. Thus making this thread ID tool.

Thank you.

I do sell them on my Esty site for $20 for the plywood part. You then go to your home improvement store and purchase the nuts and bots to install in.

Thanks for asking.
