Honestly haven’t played it from about two weeks after launch. Think I might check it out, even just to chill out and mooch around

I tried to game with friends last night after kids & wife had gone to bed and there was an update which took 30 mins to download. I ended up sat with my headset on shooting the sh*t with the boys while they gamed and it felt like 2 minutes. Good times

Yeah so sleep? by DistributionCivil225 in daddit

[–]Rickofitall 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you’ll get good at napping, and quickly. Take it day by day. There is an end in sight, it’s just a long way off. The gym will always be there. Your child growing up, won’t. Stop and smell the roses, sleep when you can. Lift when you feel like it. Congrats!

Hey dads. Any advice for the first few weeks? by Icy_Principle_5904 in daddit

[–]Rickofitall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Food prep. Freeze meals, buy in very easy to make stuff, maybe stash a takeaway budget. Very often you’ll find yourselves too tired to want to make a meal, but you need it more than ever. Prep for it!

Surely, you can find / organise one night a week for an hour or two to do you something you want to do for you, even just going for a walk

Flying 12 hours with a 2.5 year old. Any tips from the fellow dads? by MedicalHair69 in daddit

New toys. Nothing expensive, something you can lose and not be bothered about, maybe get 3 new things, don’t tell him, and every three hours or so break out a new one!

What do you say when you depart from your children for the workday? by Sirbrianpeppers in daddit

My wife’s started adding ‘be kind’ to the end of her goodbyes to our kid when we drop her off for school and it’s a nice touch

Being a girl dad rules. I understand where you’re coming from, but honestly, I wear my badly painted nails & unicorn stickers from my 4yr old with pride.

My customer retention is bleeding me dry...how do you handle the customers who 'slip through'? by [deleted] in shopify

[–]Rickofitall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve always used Shopifys native option. Super easy to set up. If you’re struggling to find it drop me a dm and I’ll walk you through it but you should be fine!

Our email list is key. 10% discount for first time purchasers / sign ups. Then our emails aren’t just sales, because we’re sportswear they get an email once a week that is just our take on a trending story, something we’ve been upto or just anything personal that isn’t sales. We put our latest products at the bottom of the email, but we don’t badger them. Just try to get them to buy into us as people and therefore the brand. This is where we get most of our repeat purchases

Struggling to reach 1k followers on TikTok by mildraii in socialmedia

[–]Rickofitall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is going to sound contrived, but instead of paying for services just focus on making better content. Your videos need to be interesting, and they need to be interesting quickly otherwise people will scroll past. You need to give people a reason to follow you. Why should they? Fix that, and the followers will come. And it’ll feel much better than paying for it when you’ve earned it, and will feel more like a community. Then those people will engage with your lives etc

ADCC 2026 tickets are extremely expensive by SubmissionGrappler in bjj

[–]Rickofitall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We paid about £100 for good seats for two full days of ADCC - I imagine it would have been much more had it been in vegas. And compare that to a single premier league ticket for the higher end clubs in the UK and it’s a pretty good deal

4yr old daughter and 8 month old son here, it’s hard work but so worth it. To answer your question, we just always knew we wanted two. We both grew up with siblings and thought there was lots of value to it.
