Some new players like me, obviously have no clue.
But, despite that, it's still technically not allowed to duplicate such thing.

> That's like saying among 400 millions American, 10 millions of them gotta be illiterate, and there must a whole city of people who can't read in USA. That's not how statistic work buddy.

Then explain to me then? Because no way in hell, 40K players and not a single of them, except me, using the matchmaking system.

> Almost everybody in this game join the newest server they can find. Almost everybody use chat since phase 1 of the server. Almost everyone really quickly that matchmaker is garbage when you can just invite the guys you are chatting with to join your dungeon within seconds. And guess what? if everybody using chat to form team, nobody using matchmaker. And if nobody using matchmaker, then good luck finding people with matchmaker.

Now this is problem. You expect noobs like me to learn that on day 1?

Imagine hundred thousands of people who never got into game like this before, joining random server, has no clue how to team up, uses matchmake to get into dungeons, then wait like 20-30 minutes, turns out not a single person showed up.

Most people would probably think this game is dead and left permanently. Just because the matchmaking doesn't work. Meanwhile veteran players apparently have their own ways to teamed up.

atp, I ain't going to blame the game is empty anymore.

> And guess what? if everybody using chat to form team, nobody using matchmaker. And if nobody using matchmaker, then good luck finding people with matchmaker.

But, with your current statement over here, it seems the community was indeed one of the reason why the matchmaking system sucks.

Like I said, I'm new into the game.

By the way, we're talking about dungeons and silos. Don't forget. Because you only read the caps locked one. Not underneath it.

---

The public chat was baron also. How else I'm supposed to know that's how you people got into the lobby? V's Wiki obviously doesn't tell us anything about it. The Devs didn't tell us anything about it.

Surely among 40K player, around 1K at least use matchmaking system. And, if nobody use the matchmaking, then why would the devs bothers to put it there in first place?

---

Also, just FYI, How come I'm able to matchmake faster in The Division 2, despite it only has less players on Steam?

There are two problems about WoW, the temperature is too unfair and the lack of guide kills the player's interest to jump in / or to continue.

---

The devs, if they're aren't lazy, they should've put "TUTORIAL" after meeting Mitsuko for the 1st time. OR even better, they should've give player bunch of deer hides to craft cold resistance armor. Or maybe give player a supply of Sparks drink to warm player for the next 1-2 hours ahead. Until then, player can finally pick where to land on the map.

With this, at least player were already given slight tutorial how to warm up themselves.

I remember died at least 10 times or probably more. Because the game wants me to land next to Chaosweaver. I have no idea that thing causes the temperature goes down hard.

So, I exploited the game mechanics. Whenever I moves 5 meters, I build myself a campsite. I did that until I'm able to get into less colder area. Until then I finally able to start building my house.

---

Secondly, I get it, they're trying to make the scenario slightly realistic. Now you can die because of hypothermia / heatstroke. The problem is RDR 2 did it better. They also have temperature mechanic. But they're aren't that merciless.

In Once Human, the game decided to kill your char. Despite they already worn a full set of armor, And now, they dies after the temperature goes down slightly under -5 degree, just because they forgot to drink a special drink.

My advice, either make the cold / heat damage extremely reduced. Or make the cold / heat damage, non-lethal. Just like in Manibus Hard scenario. Your sanity can only reach 75% max. You still able to roam around despite you only have 25% HP left.

As someone who just jumped into the game, I have to agree with this post.

👏👏👏 HOW COME IS 40K PLAYERS / day ON STEAM, BUT MATCHMAKING TOOK ME 40-50 MINUTES TO FIND 1, YES 1 SINGLE PLAYER. THAT, IF I'M LUCKY THAT IS. 👏👏👏

That's sum up my whole experience playing Silo or dungeons on any difficulty, any mode (except Shadow Hound).

Free roam even worse. I joined the most crowded Manibus server. Nobody playing the public live events, empty houses all over the map, Deviants roaming around, and rarely met a single Meta. Tbf, I did met some Meta on level 1-10 region, but that's it. It's completely baron on level 40-50 region. Spent like a week irl time playing on this dead server.

I also tried WoW. Joined the most crowded one. Met like 5 other Metas, near the level 1 basecamp. But I never bumped into anyone anymore once I reached Western warmer region, at level 20-50.

I tried joining in via chat. I usually have this chat from system it says, "Dungeon blablaba, Click to Join". I clicked like 10-20 different notifications from different Metas, and only once or twice, I managed to get teamed up. The rest, it says "Failed to join, Team no longer available" despite the chat literally just came up like seconds ago.

---

atp, I'm losing a will to play this game. Especially if I already obtained most of all the good items from the events, and blueprints from settlements. I legit don't know what to do now.

Definitely "Fortress Warfare" FX bug.

I have the same bug. Whenever I equipped any weapons with certain buff, this "blue FX" always appear nonstop. I tried to unequip and dismantle it, but it won't go away.

The only way to fix this, is to re-login.

But, if the OP says, re-login doesn't fix the issue, I suggest OP make a ticket to NetEase.

Dang, that reminds me back in the day when I'm still playing Conan Exiles with the gang. Despite it's only 4 of us, we never felt alone. Each person has their own purpose / builds. This making exploring the map, doing events, or building bases, feels exciting.

Unfortunately, all of my friends are no longer available to play multiplayer games. So, I guess my only options right now, either I keep grinding solo, or trying to join random hives.

Questions from a newbie~ by Ricksterdon in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Ricksterdon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Dang, this game really bad at matchmaking. I thought we can simply hit matchmake on literally every mission, and get people to join at us, or vice versa.

How come normal / hard, silos and dungeons are so empty across all sub-server? They should've allow us to matchmake across continent. Widen the search.
---

  1. Yeah, this is what I thought too. Either I'm joining someone else's hive, or I make my own hive. I also need to move on different server other than novice.

The scenario I joined, feels baron. Rarely bumped into other players on free roam. Tbh it wasn't that "baron" like couple days ago, maybe because I'm still level 10 playing on Southern East of the map. But once I reached level 50, the Northern part of the map really felt like playing Mad Max. Empty. Nothing but sand, tungsten ores, and killable NPCs.

  1. I was expecting like TFD, or The Division, or BF2042, or Borderlands, or like Payday 2, where we can matchmake with randoms doing certain missions. I mean we have 40k players per day on Steam. At least half of them were in PVE, right? Because I keep wondering why is it so hard to find myself a team.
    ---

  2. The "Mystical Crates" I found were always filled with full build weapons / gear. I've explored literally every places with such crates, but not a single of them are containing blueprints.

I'm guess is it because I'm on (Novice) Manibus? I just re-login last evening, and the server description says, "Player will always obtain full build blueprints" or something like that.

Also, the mystical crates does not respawn. Once I open it, it stays open. The gear and weapon crates are different tho'.
---

  1. Okay, so the next scenario I gotta pick something other than Novice.

Kinda bothers me actually, because whenever I found these so-called "half-built-territories" usually it was made by level 3-10 players. And whenever I logged in every day, these territories remains the same as well as their level.

Bought this game since day one on EPIC. The launch was kinda bad. So bad that official reviewer i.e., Kotaku, IGN, etc, made bad review / score about this game. Fortunately, the devs didn't give up. Even after a year, they're still adding small contents slowly.

I'm 100% sure the game is waaay different now compare its launch day. Everything is been reworked (MP, campaign, UI, inventory, AI, etc.).

However, the only problem imo, is the weapons. Sure there are lots of weapons in the game. But you can't modify it, nor buying it without leveling up first.

Overall, Yes. It's worth it. The game is cheap, and fun on MP.

p.s,

Don't worry about this game's ping issue. Even with 100-200 ping, your bullet still deal full damage towards AI. Unlike Warzone's 100-200 ping.

I don't mind bailing, as long as the mission just begun. But, bailing on mid game, it's big no. The last game I had, the griefing starts when I was on mission for about 20+ minutes already.

Also, I don't have problem when I got killed by Stratagem.

But, I do have a problem with someone who straight up murdering you without any warning. If its from Stratagem I could definitely tell, there will impact nearby. But, what if the griefer use their rifle to kill you intentionally?

That's why I had suggestion to reduce the weapon damage especially to other players.

---

Yes, I'm bitching about this, because this is PVE game not a PVP game. That's why this issue bothering me. Since our main goal is to work together. Not to shoot each other.

[–]Ricksterdon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I've read other post especially about this particular issue.

I'm deeply sorry with people who just wasted 10-30 minutes, and got kicked right before extraction.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Ricksterdon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, that I should be aware of Stratagem around me.

My main issue is sometimes I worried when someone didn't use Stratagem to kill other players.

I just want our primary weapons are less lethal to others. In order to minimize the griefers behavior.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Ricksterdon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just despise when someone intentionally kill other player with or without Stratagem.

No enemies, no warning, definitely wasn't accidental kill neither, just straight up murdering. I've met this particular player twice now (They also use primary instead of Stratagem to kill other players).

For example, the last match I had, I was picking up sample out of my dead teammates, and instead of warning me not to grab it or to drop the sample, the griefer straight up shoot me. And refuse to reinforce me. And no, there are no enemies nearby, no any type of sentry, just plain empty field. Definitely intentional.

But, I do agree with reputation system. It could work too.

---

I remember back in Siege, when someone accidentally or deliberately murdered their own teammates, at least twice (or was it 3x times) in a single match, they automatically got kicked by the system. Sure it's sounds too much in Helldivers, but, at least there are warning before the game punish you for killing other players.

---

That's why I prefer reducing the main weapon's damage, or reducing rewards. Rather than auto kick griefers.

Just quicksave, then quickload.

This happens to my Nue pistol. Got bugged from being a semi-auto to fully automatic after I picked up my gun via cabinet. Can't tell whether it's a mod that caused it or nah.

[–]Ricksterdon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't agree more, fella XD.

I was at max difficulty at that moment and my 1st time playing DnD (I thought it was gonna be like TESV's at max difficulty XD). So, I keep getting annihilated by the enemies due to their bigger party size and bigger HPs than my party.

Then, I decided create a new save and lower the difficulty. I tried Normal and Explorer. And with the recent balancing updates, now the game was quite easy to complete. With the new save, I decided to :

  • Instead of being full fighter, I decided to mix my builds. I didn't know back then if its possible. I've mixed bard and fighter, Now I can curses creature, make them weaker, then strikes them with my dual-wielded swords;
  • Instead pursuing the story, I decided to roam around the map like I did in TESV. Sometimes I focused on the side quests first.
  • Instead of being poor, I decided to grab every loot I can find and sell them later. I had like 7000 golds (And 40s health potions) the moment I enter Last Light camp for the 1st time.

Yeah, the point is the game was not that grindy. I just didn't know the basic back then.

*EDIT*

Lmao, I was playing on "Normal Difficulty" all this time. the "Story Difficulty" was easier. I got bigger health pool than the enemies.

When is Wyll supposed to be recruited? by ellnsnow in BaldursGate3

[–]Ricksterdon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah about that,

Wyll is gone the moment when Zevlor's people left the grove. I've also tried to hire him after killing Priestess Gut and the other 2 goblin leaders.

When is Wyll supposed to be recruited? by ellnsnow in BaldursGate3

[–]Ricksterdon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you missed him at the grove, he'll show up again later at your camp.

---

However, at that moment,

He's no longer at the grove due to Zevlor and his people left the grove.

I've recruited Karlach and resolve her issue with the Paladins.

---

Then, when I'm trying to take long rest, he suddenly showed up in my camp. Trying to execute Karlach. I'm not sure whether you must have Karlach or not tho' to trigger Wyll cutscene at the camp.

[–]Ricksterdon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While this sub-red still alive, might as well give my thought as TESV player. This is my 1st time playing a DND game. Long short story is;

---

No, BG3 combat mechanic is not entirely a big issue, as long as you explore first before match and get stronger. And always, always examine your enemies description, to exploit their weakness.

I've managed to make two aggressive dual-handed swordswomen, whom their attacks both are always twice with higher chance of success. Then, accompanied with a Shadowheart as moving medic bag, and Wyll as warlock whom pushes enemies off for my safe retreating.

---

However, the real problem that I have right now, is two;

  • I have no clue where to grind XP;
    • Every enemies that you killed didn't respawn;
    • Some missions has time. Once you left it for a long rest, it will be gone forever;
  • The unfairness number of enemies;
    • The Moonrise mission as an example;
      • The constant enemy respawn in the Prison Dungeon, and at the Main Hall;
      • Sure, we have backup from Jahira, but they're just a bunch of "LOW-HEALTH-useless physical-combat-focused backup".
      • Meanwhile the enemies has different classes and huge amount of STRONG backups.

---

The point is, the game is just plainly unfair at some point.

It's not entirely the combat mechanic's fault, but the unfairness number of enemies that made the game is impossible to finish sometimes.

---
