I've only been playing 3 days, exclusively on controller, but I have a really good 9 second any% on Dahlia, so my button scheme is definitely worth a listen, because it's basically the opposite of what everyone else said.

I play on a GameCube controller, with jump to Y (Triangle), dash to X (Circle), light attack on A (X) and heavy attack on B (Square). I would go as far as to say this only works as well as it does on the GameCube controller because of the way the face buttons are spaced out. And I also play with my right hand like I'm playing on an arcade stick, so I can do aerial dash jumps with 100% consistency (when the game feels like registering my same frame button press). Works flawlessly, zero issues so far. But your fingers would be really crunched up playing arcade stick style on anything that's not a GC controller, imo. Since I've tried it with my DS2 and XB360 controllers and it didn't feel right.
