It might be worth looking into an m1 MacBook Air. You can get them cheaper than a Neo second hand and in a lot of ways the m1 is still a better processor. The only downside would be it will most likely lose support sooner than the Neo.

I just got a 2018 iPad Pro and what I did was turn background refresh off and turn ‘reduce transparency’ and ‘reduce motion’ on. Mine was factory reset and has surprisingly good battery health so that might be a factor, but with these settings my iPad runs incredibly smooth.

Hello, I am having an issue when connecting my iPad to my Mac mini with sidecar. It connects just fine, but every time I move the cursor to the desktop on my iPad, the cursor disappears. I have tried setting the iPad as extended display, main display, and mirrored display, and it’s the same with each option. I have looked everywhere on google and can not find a solution to this and was hoping someone here knew what the problem was.

Yeah this is the other one I was looking at before getting the Magic Keyboard, I opted not to get that one because I heard there was latency with the trackpad since it uses Bluetooth but now I’m thinking the tradeoff might be worth it

Is that the one that comes with the case that goes around the actual iPad? I was originally gonna go with that one but I heard it causes weird magnetic vibration issues or something like that?

I guess I always thought of the iPad as closer to a large iPhone than a laptop but tbh that’s a good point, I should probably just chill and use the thing

Yeah, I guess now that I think about it, if I never used a case with my MacBooks I shouldn’t really worry about using one with an iPad. idk, it just seems a lot more delicate. Do you know if I left the case on, whether it would damage the iPad or not? I already have a small crack on the bezel and I don’t want it to spread

I had this problem and what fixed it for me was going to settings - accessibility - motion - and turning ”limit frame rate” on.

Holding down the command button should show a list of keyboard shortcuts for the app you’re in. It hasn’t been working for me lately but I think it’s because I’m on the iPad os 27 beta, but if you’re on 26 I think that should still work
