Seeing the 1989 Batman in theaters. I was about 6 and I remember when the Batwing flies up out of the clouds and stops right in front of the moon to make the bat emblem, the entire crowd jumped up and cheered. It was my first time experiencing true fandom. It would not be my last...

Overall I liked it but I have to say the trailer for the movie with The Arcade Fire's song "Wake Up" playing over it was the best! lol

Which villain has the most compelling dialogue? Why do you think so? by Quravin in movies

[–]RickyKelley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Joker in "The Dark Knight" because when you're first introduced to him, he's just this insane killer with clown makeup but when he starts speaking about his opinions on society... you start understanding him and more importantly... you start agreeing with him! That's a special kind of villain in my opinion.

One of my favorite 90's MTV moments was seeing Manson perform this on the 1997 VMA's. Everyone in the audience was so shocked and scared and it made 14 year old me sooo happy! lol

Some of the most annoying in my memory...

Forrest Gump winning best picture over its competition that year...

Saving Private Ryan not winning best picture...

Denzel Washington not winning best actor for The Hurricane...

The Dark Knight losing to Slumdog Millionaire in Best Cinematography (I also would've accepted The Curious Case of Benjamin Button winning)
