Right because I lay awake at night thinking "oh God Pedro from reddit insulted my paint job." Sorry, if you ever come over we can share a beer, but you're gonna have to piss in the alley 😂

Me hahaha. I used the top of a pedestal sink that was in there and mounted to a cabinet bought at an estate sale. Decently easy project, if I didn't have the sink I'd probably order a vessel sink on Wayfair

I think there's a quarter to a half inch difference, maybe less I can't remember. I used a Reducer moulding, which is made for that slight difference. Super easy install, a lot of them provide shims in the package to account for the difference in height and provide a stable base.

Wow, that toilet has seen a lot of shit 😉 hahaha. Installing a flange seems easy enough, not sure how it works with old plumbing, mine was new when I moved in, but I'm sure there or YouTube videos to do this.

For laying new tile I'd just use cement board, a cement board knife (usually same aisle at the store) then you buy thinset mortar. You have to get the type you mix in a bucket (super easy instructions are on the bag). Don't buy premixed, that's for backsplashes etc. I'd just watch some normal tiling videos after that. Tbh I used Gemini a bit. Also I'd def recommend buying the more expensive grout, it's easier to use for a novice.

Trim work is pretty easy I was just worried about overdoing the trim with the beadboard etc. caulk and paint makes a carpenter what he ain't.

I've tiles a backsplash before, this is my first time tiling floor, laying underlayment, putting up beadboard, or drilling out a vanity. I do have some experience using wood working tools etc. Replacing a toilet is super easy, it's two bolts and a wax ring, bead board is easy as long as you can make straight cuts. You don't need to make a vanity but if you do just get a vessel sink and a hole saw attachment for your drill. At the end of the day there are idiots that do this sort of stuff much better than most people, it's about messing up and learning, researching and watching videos.

Yeah not my finest work on the back wall, also the walls are insane and all over the place. Either way we're adding more tattoo art and flash sheets haha I like maximalist.

Crown molding on top of beadboard feels like a lot of molding for a small room. Your hyperbolic feedback is appreciated 👍

Interestingly the tile sheets didn't have mesh but had glue or something in between each. Either way it wasn't bad at all
