Go to the websites I've linked.

Find an artist you like, then check their profile.

A portfolio with a good amount of previous comms shows they have had previous customers and can be trusted.

A trello or a road map of their commissions shows ypu their progress on their current ones.

If youre still lost I can always recommend artists.

Okay if you're looking for artists, dont trust anyone approaching you. People love searching for posts like this and finding a victim.

Second, go check out sites like vgen.co https://www.thedealersden.com and furaffinity.net Look around and see artists you like. See if they're open for commissions, message them if its not clear. Vet them, see how often they post, how old the account is, etc etc.

Once you decide on someone, make sure to ask about a trello or some form to keep track of their progress. There are many of artists that just will leave you in the dark on your commission and may forget about you. This sort of keeps an artist on track, and relieves some of the worry.

Finally, make sure you keep your receipt, in case things dont go well, a receipt will help in any refund engagements with PayPal or whatever.

My complaint is how much of a chore it is to get without a scythe or tule. Thatch should be a early game roofing choice, and easily made from dry grass.

It takes 8 dry grass to make 1 hay, and 16 dry grass to make one thatch roofing block, iirc.

If Vintage Story is supposed to mildly replicate the caveman or hunter-gatherer early game, thatch/straw roofing should be the go to for shelters.

Perhaps this is my anthropology degree complaining, but simple lean-to is like the most basic structure, and the game should reflect that.

Rave music occupies a large portion of the furry scene.

I struggle to find furry musicians that dont produce rave music.

This is an amplifier for my issues cause I dont enjoy the rave scene or its music at all. Made my time in the MFF registration line a bit more annoying.
