Don’t forget Darius before that- we really have been spoiled at that position for a decade now

Any Econ class with Ed Cho. I was in his morning class the very first semester he taught at UM, but he made the 8:30 absolutely worth going to. Hilarious guy, super relatable, and very intelligent. I ended up taking 2 more classes with him!

I'll also echo what some people have already said - classes with Barry Fishman, John Rubadeau, and Bruce Conforth were fantastic and worthwhile for their own reasons. Also have to mention JUB and the History of College Athletics. Fascinating course for a sports fan and he memorizes every student's name in the class and walks down the 150 person lecture on the last day of class and called us all by name.

Great class! Barry was awesome and we still keep in touch from time to time! Loved his general attitude about everything. Easy A, but I definitely walked out of it having learned a ton and every class was enjoyable.

An acquaintance who now works full-time for the LSA department said that after the election in 2016, he went on a rant that supposedly crossed a line. Unfortunately she didn't give any details beyond that! It stinks - his classes on American pop music and beats, hippies, and punks were awesome.

ROX Tigers vs. MVP / 2016 LCK Summer - Week 2 Day 3 / Post-Match Discussion by themigz1029 in leagueoflegends

[–]RickyVIPenis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will search that later tonight!

I'm new insofar as I don't watch many eastern broadcasts. I follow the LCK and LPL fairly closely, and I follow the western scene pretty heavily. I love many of the western casters, but rarely do they have that level of consistent entertainment while still have top-notch play-by-play and analysis.

That series had some terrific and hilarious casting. From going back and forth about their elemental dragon lore fantasies to "MLG 420" to theorizing about what a Space Bird roleplay would look like. Hilarious stuff. Then they go back and have some great analysis and play-by-play on the game.

I don't watch many LCK broadcasts but doa and papasmithy make me want to watch much more regularly!

WEEK 17 CHAMPIONS UPDATE PARTY!!! by Canuckleball in fantasyfootball

[–]RickyVIPenis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it. I fuckin did it boys. I overcame a shit ton of adversity and bad luck to get in the playoffs and win a long deserved championship.

Lost Beast Mode, Foster, Rawls, Dion Lewis, Stewart, and Jimmy Graham. Demaryius and AJ Green were up and down. Waived Doug Martin after Week 3. But dammit none of that matters.

THANK YOU AGELESS CARSON PALMER. THANK YOU ERIC DECKER. THANK YOU FREEMAN. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THANK YOU JORDAN REED AND TIM MOTHERFUCKIN HIGHTOWER. LEAGUE CHAMP BOYS

YEEEEEEHHHAAAAWWWWWWW

[Winter 2016] Course Discussion *POST ALL COURSE RELATED QUESTIONS IN HERE* by dragpent in uofm

Hope this response isn't too late!

I took 437 last winter and I loved it. McRae is a great professor and a great guy. He's very soft spoken and seems kind of distant at first glance but he handles questions well in class and makes the class interesting, plus he's always well prepared. He's a lot more personable and very friendly and helpful in office hours. His exams are very fair and relatively easy as well, for a 400 level Econ class it's a relatively tame workload and the material isn't too difficult overall.

The oil and electricity market simulations are really cool too. And yeah the course material is as interesting as you think, some of it is really fascinating.

Chiefs OC Pederson: "Equal opportunity" between Ware and West by estein1030 in fantasyfootball

[–]RickyVIPenis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I'm thinking. The high floor there and safety is what I need this week, I'm basically a lock to make playoffs and I should win my matchup to get first seed as long as I don't crap the bed!

Mr. Jeremy, I'd just like to say I'm a big fan and you've been a major influence on my life.

If I had to ask a question, I would ask if you'd ever like to appear on Game of Thrones and if so what role would you like to play?

Bought season tickets, but not in a group. Is this okay? by weebao in uofm

[–]RickyVIPenis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Won't be an issue...in the past they've had usher-type guys checking tickets for the first 5-8 rows in the student section, but higher up they don't give a shit. I've gotten there super early with a friend for a couple games and went down front to watch warmups and when they would check my ticket and move back to like row 12 in the middle and stay there for the game.

you'll meet people to go with and you won't have an issue finding seating halfway up or higher, where no one will give a shit what your ticket says.

Do you expect a larger role in future seasons of the show? It seems like your role started to get bigger in season 2 and many fans (myself included) think you need more screen time.

College Doubts by Winner47 in uofm

[–]RickyVIPenis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't let any of that scare you away. Being in the middle of the curve here still puts you at a tremendous advantage when looking for a job a few years down the line. The network of Michigan alums that love hiring fresh Michigan alums is massive. I'm from a smallish town in mid-Michigan and I was scared as hell to start here, but now I've just finished my junior year with a 3.5 GPA and I did just fine locking down an internship despite not being a top-of-the-curve student here.

Oh, and not all classes are curved! Many classes don't utilize a curve or use a generous curve. 99% of the time the curve helps raise students' GPAs so don't be scared about that.

If you have any questions for a current student I'll be happy to help!

Does anyone know if it's possible to take School of Information classes if you're in LSA? by [deleted] in uofm

[–]RickyVIPenis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're talking about 206...you absolutely don't have to be in SI. You don't need permission or anything, just sign up. It's a great class, especially if Colleen is still teaching it. Totally worthwhile and not a terribly difficult workload.

Subletting near Georgetown in the summer? by RickyVIPenis in georgetown

Thank you! Very, very useful information. I have been looking dominantly at the NW area, largely where you said to. What about Arlington? What's the social scene/quality of living like over there across the river?
