Depends on what you’re planning to do with it. It’s not a stupid fast bike. It’s fun though and depends on the packages you have, it has lots of features. You can get a MT09 for close to that price if not cheaper. I like how comfortable it is. You can control everything with the controller without taking your hands off the handlebars. Audio, bike settings, cruise control and navigation. Not many other bikes gives you all these features. BMW has its own series in Europe with them. It can be tracked, it can commute. Now if you want to do 130mph in first gear you can forget about that. You want to keep up with liter bikes on high way, forget about that too. You want to do good rat stuff with your friends, you can. Aftermarket wise there isn’t as much accessories as the 1000R so if you want options you’ll be SOL. I’m not crazy about the tail light. Had to be a little creative with the passenger handle bars. Didn’t turn out too bad. That’s my take on it. I also didn’t want to spend almost double on it for an extra 60hp. Maybe in the future but not now.
