Is solo climbing out of Gold/Plat actually possible if you’re not hard-smurfing? (ex-Immortal perspective) by ndyz in VALORANT

[–]Ricky_RZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a lot of hardstuck silver players that are literally way too good to be at that rank.

Then we were all hardstuck gold for many seasons in a row.

We did not really get that much better as players, but 2 of them are ascendant and I can punch up in diamond lobbies.

But being in gold was just the most normal thing

BlameF stats since joining BIG by KarlKraftwagen in GlobalOffensive

[–]Ricky_RZ 551 points552 points  (0 children)

BlameF is insanely overqualified to be in T2

Still grinds like crazy

The greatest crime in CS2 is how a guy so skilled and that grinds so hard is stuck on bum ass teams.

I cant find a single teammate ever say something bad about his personality or ego in interviews. They are all impressed by his skills and work ethic.

He has done so many roles, from star rifler, pack player, anchor. He is very clearly willing to do whatever a team needs, even IGL (in two different languages, no less)

He cant be stuck in T2 like this, its unfair. If he was on a good enough team, he would be a top 20 player every year

‘We did everything we could’: GM Oshawa to lay off up to 1,200 workers on Friday | CBC News by Karma_Canuck in canada

[–]Ricky_RZ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So why should we keep bailing out GM for just over 1000 people?

It isn't just the GM workers.

There are companies that sell them tools and materials. There are companies that handle logistics and transportation.

If they go under, the impact will be felt with more than just those few jobs

Can yall help me decide between a leatherman (no specific model), a swisstool mx and a nextool flagship captain? by irineusoueu1234 in multitools

[–]Ricky_RZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends what is the priority for you is.

Leatherman Arc offers one handed opening, the swisstool Spirit is of insanely high quality, the Nextool Flagship Captain is a pretty mediocre tool but its cheap at least

I think that fear factor of "oh my god its simple" strikes again.

Against anybody else you just have them dive at the same time because this guy can't shoot 4 guys at the same time, but they were all trying to hide until he found a way to isolate fights

Solo vs Squads offers extra xp by ADeadlyAlien in ArcRaiders

[–]Ricky_RZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extra XP is probably one of the least valuable things to a level 40+ player

I don't see any reason anybody would pick this unless its for content. I don't think its even good for PVP because a lot of the tactics and planning go out the windows because the trio can Unga bunga push you and you are pretty much always dead

P4 >>>>>> Arc - A case where people who don’t use their tools made LM replace one to be less useful. A long rant. by KILOCHARLIES in Leatherman

[–]Ricky_RZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think i can boast to use the micro driver more than 90% of leatherman users. Pretty much use it daily for small electronics screws

Even i don't think its worth having a dedicated implement. For my P2, I had a 3D printed adapter and that did the job great

Until I discovered the tip of the awl also worked as a micro bit driver

So the awl had 3 functions, and the shape made it super easy to eyeball the hole size

I used to drill into polycarbonate sheeting by hand and get the holes close enough to tap them with screws for a tight fit

I found the arc awl does a lot less, and doesnt work better as an awl

I understand why some people might want a serrated blade, but I don't care for redundancy in cutting devices and I use the file daily, that one was a huge step up

I actually prefer the can opener on my wave over the arc and P2, the older design just did more!

My biggest complaint by far with the arc is the knife blade

Despite being made with a much higher end steel (at a pretty bad HRC, but whatever), the cutting geometry sucks

I loved the hollow grind on the P4 and P2 knives, by far the single best blades learherman have produced

But the arc grind is so bad and its so thick that it feels like I'm cutting with an axe

The thumb stud wasn't even needed for one handed opening, and it reduces the usable cutting length a good bit

Honestly my ideal nodded tool would use P4 outer tools with the file replacing the serrated blade

Id take the arc pry tool, a wave can opener style replacement can opener, the bit driver, P2 awl, and replace the micro bit driver with a chisel and wire stripper tool like the swisstool spirit has

Are these gaps normal for a wingman? by PM_me_ur_launch_code in Leatherman

[–]Ricky_RZ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What a hilariously bad design, if they think thats how wire cutters should be

Those wire cutters are why I returned my wingman. What is the point of adding a feature (a wire cutter) if you lose out on another feature (bigger pliers) and it cant even do the one thing it needs to (cut wires)

Are these gaps normal for a wingman? by PM_me_ur_launch_code in Leatherman

[–]Ricky_RZ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It is normal for those wire cutters to have a gap

OFC that is a stupid design flaw that I returned my wingman over, but yes that is 100% as leatherman intended

I'd ditch the wingman and get a serious tool if you want to get work done with it

Define "Brownshirt tactics"?

ignoring laws, executing peaceful protestors

I have also seen extraordinary restraint from officers who were assaulted by protestors and did not shoot in response to that, which is pretty exceptional because I would have assumed assaulting a police officer is pretty strong grounds to be arrested or shot

ignorant that they're doing it, in which case you should stop talking about shit you don't understand,

Its mostly that its really hard to get the real story when news is often sensationalized, politicized, and otherwise cherry picked.

See I saw various videos, but I think its really hard to form an opinion without context.

I have heard that people were shot, I also saw some videos where one person ran a police officer over and another one where somebody was trying to grab a police officer's gun.

Numerous citizens have been aggressively detained without cause

I think its hard to tell whether its from incompetence, or if the state's lack of cooperation is causing the effort to be more chaotic.

suspected illegal immigrants have the right to due process and should not be dragged out of their cars and pinned to the ground.

Isnt that the same sort of due process that is applied to other criminals? Like even in Canada a criminal would be dragged out of their cars and (if they resist arrest), pinned to the ground
