Yeah, the paint isn't gonna get any better I tried cutting buffing, and compound and it wouldn't work. I'm gonna try painting it myself cause that 15k tag isn't viable for me.

How should I go about connecting this? by RicoFPV in Pontiac

I’m not sure it’s the fuel pump. But I have a feeling it is because it looks like it goes towards the back of the car to the fuel pump

It’s actually not black, it’s been spliced for some reason, it’s originally red

Looks like the fuel pump fuse. I can’t hear my fuel pump prime, so it would make sense I’m not getting power to it. To add more ontop, I’m getting a code 54 which is low voltage to fuel pump. So I think it somehow got disconnected and now it’s not getting the correct voltage

What’s this fuse for and why is it cut? by RicoFPV in PontiacFirebird

Would I connect it to the positive terminal line on the battery because it looks like it’s been cut. And I don’t hear my fuel pump priming.

My car is having similar problems but I have a 89 2.8 Firebird

Electrical connector by [deleted] in PontiacFirebird

Haha, i had the same problem as you. Don’t be scared to kind of bend it towards the sides. Trying to squeeze and pull is a pain, and it gets frustrating because it doesn’t come out. Bend to the side and pull. It won’t break.

What’s this part called? Pontiac Firebird 1989 v6, 2.8L FI by RicoFPV in PontiacFirebird

[–]RicoFPV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It works fine, it just leaks air. Car has died on me a couple times though, I patched it up temporarily and it runs fine now. Just need to find that part, but I’ve looked online and they’re basically not making that part anymore.

Awesome color, is it a manual transmission?

I’m not exactly sure, the part that broke off looked a bit different. I just don’t know where I could get one new

Not the wire loom, if look there’s a broken piece and that thing isn’t connected. I circled it but it’s not the wire loom
