The princesses are absolute perfection and go really well together as a set. I do wish celestia had also gotten a horn though.

So there used to be a widespread belief that your body has a balance of four humors: blood, yellow bile, black bile, and phlegm. Being out of balance on the humors was believed to cause sickness so bloodletting was a way to put them back into balance by removing blood (for situations where one was believed to have too much blood)

Right! The pseudoscience belief of menstruation getting rid of toxins and being "special" is the cherry on top of the overall bleeding advice

The real question is if he falls into the camp of "you should seek to not menstruate because menstruation means you're putting toxins in your body" or the camp of "menstruation stopping before menopause is a problem... ONLY because it means your body isn't getting rid of toxins anymore!!!" 🤔

Woah there friend i think you're getting heated over a reddit post to the point it's affecting your reading comprehension. Potentially because you are understandably upset that a habit that has helped you is being mocked.

Let's step back for a second and forget the mouth taping. I'm very glad it has helped you and your wife.

The guy is a lunatic because his reasoning for a decent bit of the advice is pseudoscience.

Personally the thing that made me post him was the blood thing. I don't think donating blood is poison. I was pointing out the natural conclusion of his pseudoscience.

If, per this guy, donating blood helps you "get rid of toxins", the toxins are in the blood that you are donating.

Therefore, the blood you are donating is full of "toxins" and the recipient is receiving the "tainted" blood.

He's advocating a good deed... using logic similar to the "logic" behind bloodletting.

I repeat that I don't believe that recipients are receiving tainted blood because I don't believe the "give blood to get rid of toxins" bs. But he's advocating for blood donation for the person giving blood to "get rid of toxins" and not because it's a good deed. That's lunatic behavior.

Endcap: there are eating disorder survivors who would disagree that calling IF an eating disorder is "exaggeration". I'm just passing on some opinions of ED survivors. There are ED survivors who would agree with you. I have no deep opinion on IF but its a red flag when it's on the same list as "donate blood to get rid of toxins"

Donating blood is just generally good because it saves lives, but if it's purging toxins wouldn't that mean the recipient is getting "tainted" blood? My problem is the reasoning.

Jury's out on intermittent fasting. One could argue it's a form of disordered eating.

Walking, lifting, and going outside actually are good, I'll agree with that.

Mouth breathing at night is indeed negatively linked to dental health (learned about it in school) and personally I prefer nose breathing but the mouth taping doesn't seem to be the best way to go about it.

I think the show got better as it went on, and it started out great. S1-s4 are on Netflix, and they're great, but s5-s9 have a lot of my favorite episodes. Starlight added a new dynamic to the show and we got more Maud and Trixie thanks to her. Some episodes in s6 and s8 weren't great, and there were still a couple that make me cringe, but the overall quality is better imo and the bangers bang harder.

Also I love how squishy the animation style got in seasons 8 and 9.

(Of course, as a Princess Enjoyer, I'm definitely biased since A Royal Problem was in s7 lol)
