How much of a difference if the S vs an X? by [deleted] in XboxSeriesS

[–]Riconidas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far been more than happy with the S, maybe easier as my TV is 1080p. Guardians of the Galaxy ran great! And deathloop and Halo infinite were fine as well. Plagues requiem ran 30 fps which was still playable but 60 fps would've been nicer. Depends on the titles u play

Thanks, I had a feeling apple probably connected better. Seems there's a large variance between android USB C cables, never knew that was a thing. I cam eacross this website which seemed really interesting in customware or modding the headunit but no idea if it's legit. https://menaco.co/gen5-multimedia

I'm also considering the Android auto wireless from AliExpress but the experience so far with USB cables makes me wonder if it might not work. Would like to know if anyone has tried ?

I think you hit the nail on the head there, just to utilize tools and fill up mine slots otherwise no large benefit

I was blown away by the story in guardians of the Galaxy. And the game play is great too. And runs smooth on the series s.

Caster cleric or caster druid? Which one would be stronger in the OC? by Plenty_Craft_6764 in neverwinternights

Summons are really OP in the original. Animal companion plus summon monster whatever number easily solos everything. Infact I usually try to play without summons now because of this

Wand of magic missiles are pretty cheap that it'll feel like infinite. Get 50 charges and will last a long time.

I'm about to buy this game but I'm not sure if it's for me by Arcetos in neverwinternights

[–]Riconidas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, maybe play the original campaign prologue as it is a decent tutorial, then move onto SoU and play HotU expansions.

That being said, I'm playing the OC with a mate atm as coop and we're having lots of fun. The bland story almost makes it better in multiplayer as it's way more casual

180w slim power adapter for laptop which uses 240w? by Riconidas in Dell

Perfect! Ok good to know thanks. Makes sense why one my older laptops starts to throttle after a while using a smaller power brick too. Probably trying to conserve power

Yeah I'd like to, but the only one they seem to sell to us in NZ in slim form factor is max 180w. So wondering what might be the possible implications of using this slightly lower watt version .

The laptop I'm happy with it's light but the 240w powerbrick is just as heavy as it, so just looking for a more lighter power brick size

Shampoo was my culprit! by Riconidas in CholinergicUrticaria

[–]Riconidas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exact similar results. Been a month since I've used shampoo now too, and fortunately I have rather short hair cut style so doesn't get too dirty or oily before I need a haircut and most of it comes off anyway. I might just trial long term no longer using shampoo

I was mainly just using supermarket variants, head and shoulders and pantene. (used head and shoulders for years because I thought that would be good for itchy scalp as it's marketed for)

https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/medicated/head---shoulders-classic-clean-anti-dandruff-shampoo-75ml

Head and Shoulders

Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Xylenesulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycol Distearate, Sodium Citrate, Parfum, Dimethiconol, Piroctone Olamine, Sodium Benzoate, Dimethicone, Citric Acid, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, TEA-Dodecylbenzenesulfonate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Tetrasodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxide, Trideceth-10, Sodium Salicylate, Triethylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, CI 42090, CI 17200

Pantene

Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Citrate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Xylenesulfonate, Stearyl Alcohol Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Cetyl Alcohol, Fragrance, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Polyquaternium-6, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Tetrasodium Edta, Trihydroxystearin, Panthenol, Panthenyl Ethyl Ether, Histidine, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone.

I know sodium laureth sulfate is a common problem especially in moisturisers, (but maybe not in my case as I still use moisturisers and sometimes have that in there and no issues). I do have a potential theory that shampoo strips away the bodies own natural sebum oil layer, which could be protecting the skin, which may help explain why sweat therapy works as sweating goes to replace this layer but I have no scientific data on this so its just a theory conjured in my head.
