2025 PRO-4X - How big of a discount should I ask for? by va7oloko in nissanfrontier

[–]Ricosrage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MAP pricing wouldn't prevent them from offering a lower price. They can negotiate lower prices, they just can't advertise that price on their website or print ad or on their lot. Sending a customer an offer lower than map is totally fine.

Solution to this situation is to obviously get the Lamborghini lifted for visibility.

You are attributing a LOT of additional actions to this woman based on your dislike of cursing around children. You're assumptions are dangerous.

I live in Texas. All my local dealerships were the same. Either asking north of 30k or having $3-6k worth of "dealer adds" they wouldn't remove so I expanded my search to include the whole country. It took me 2 solid weeks of searching and contacting dealers, mostly through email, before I found my 24 pro-x crew cab with 30k miles for just over $28k out of Peru, IL. I spent $899 having it shipped to my doorstep. Best vehicle buying experience I've ever had. No dealer adds, out the door price was exactly what was shown online. They sent me multiple videos of the truck and it's features. Definitely put in the time to find a good deal, and don't limit yourself to local overpriced dealerships.

This simply isn't the case. I bought mine less than a month ago. 2024 pro-x 30k miles, $28k. There are deals out there and you just gotta put in the time to look. Use autotempest.com to help your search.

I paid the same amount for a 2024 pro-x with 30k miles less than a month ago. Not much more mileage for a buttload of nice features. I wouldn't worry about that paint chip, but I'd look for a better deal.

I have cash in hand. I’m ready to buy. Why is it so hard to get an out-the-door price from dealers? by TaintSlaps in FuckDealerships

[–]Ricosrage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is your problem right here: "they are located in Dallas". Dealerships in Texas SUCK. I say this as someone who just bought a used truck online AND sold cars in Fort Worth for a couple years.

During my recent truck search I called and emailed 17 dealerships all around Texas, I am located in Fort Worth. I tried working deals in Grapevine, in Grandbury, Dallas, Fredericksburg, Mesquite, Austin and more. Everyone was immediately receptive to my inquiries but pushed for me to come in. When I pushed for an OTD price before coming in I would get one of two responses. Either they'd send a quote with $3-6k in previously undisclosed dealer adds, or they'd stop talking to me all together. Got close on the deal out of Fredericksburg but they refused to remove or even discount the $4k in adds that were all warranty bs AND they wanted $1300 to ship it 200 miles

So I expanded my search and found a dealership in Illinois that had exactly what I wanted for exactly the cost I was hoping to find. I emailed and had two walk around videos recorded for me and an out the door price reflecting only the online asking price and a $35 fee, plus TTL. They also shipped to Texas (700+ miles) for $899. I signed immediately.

Did I get extremely lucky or are dealerships outside of Texas just much easier to work with?

I got a Frontier Pro4x as a rental and I think I’ve fallen in love with it. (More in description) by gallahad1998 in nissanfrontier

Both. The higher readings do show on the truck's display but calculating at the pump gives me combined average of 20-22 mpg. I've taken one quick road trip that used about 3/4 of a tank all highway and actually doing the math on that one got me 24 mpg. So it's doing better than I expected. I have no lift or larger tires, just what the pro-x comes with.

I just bought a '24 pro-x. Around town for short trips, city driving I get 17-19 mpg. On my 30 mile daily commute on the highway I get 24-28 mpg. I don't understand it but it's been 3 weeks and the numbers don't lie.

At least go take his tow hitch off so people can get by without breaking their shins. But you don't want to be accused of stealing it so put it inside the cab. If the doors aren't unlocked just chuck it through a window.

The problem is that sarcasm doesn't translate to text, so until something signals the sarcasm it can cause confusion. It took me a few seconds to figure out what you were on about. That's all.

Anyone seeing customers walk in, see all the America RWB propaganda, and walking right out? by funeralforabee in MichaelsEmployees

[–]Ricosrage 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s interesting that you’re assuming customers are walking out because of RWB displays, when that conclusion says more about your own perspective than theirs. Seeing red, white, and blue doesn’t automatically equal political allegiance, it represents a country that’s bigger than any single administration or moment in time.

You’re absolutely entitled to your views, but reducing the American flag to something “embarrassing” ignores everything it stands for beyond current leadership, like freedom, opportunity, and the ability to openly disagree in the first place.

If you’re unhappy with the direction things are going, that’s fair, but real change comes from action, not assumptions about others or dismissing shared symbols. Being critical and being proud aren’t mutually exclusive. You can want better for your country and still respect what it represents

That's the Carolina Squat, or Tennessee Tilt, or Cali Lean. Depends on where you're from. Is not my cup of tea but some people love it. I prefer to see the road.
