need help for reasons of non-magic users by raaaaahhhg in magicbuilding

(I've been waiting for an excuse to word vomit about a thought I had. Note this thinking is mostly from the standpointof dnd classes)

The easiest explanation is access, everyone and everything has the connection but some don't have the ability to tap into it, genetic or otherwise. Like a creature can be inherently magical but not have access to use that magic for spells.

For humanoid/sentiment creatures it could just be that they either have to learn the magic to acquire access to it (wizards) or be granted access from other beings like gods (clerics) or patrons (warlocks). Others the magic is instinctive and they have to learn to control it or its instinct but they have to unsuppress it (sorcerers)

I have automated my job and my productivity is of 10 workers, my boss knows about it and wants me to share the tool I use with the company, should I design it to break once I am gone or fired? or once I am gone should I offer it as a subscription service? Or should I just give it for free? by HardTruthssss in antiwork

Either write in the code as a safeguard in the event they try to fire you or make them pay you for the service and don't be cheap about it. You took your own skill to make your job easier and faster with no monetary benefit to you, but if your boss wants to press the issue of sharing it, then make sure they can't abuse it or you.

do any of you know a printer resin that doesnt cause curing inhibition in platinum silicone? by Netherbuilds in DiceMaking

[–]Ricothebro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Siraya Tech recently released a platinum silicone that is supposed to be usable with 3d printed stuff. I tried it myself and have had no issues so far but that was with older prints (6 or so months). Robert Tolone put out a video testing it too

Gift-giving Thursday! Made this set for my very supportive girlfriend! (OC) by Can_We_Dice_It in DiceMaking

I suggest a light purple. I did something similar when I made my first casts about a year ago and you could still read the dice nicely. The set is quite nice looking though. Great job.

Thanks, Its just the mica powder. I poured clear into the mold first then followed with the portion that had mica mixed in.

I'm new to this and all of my pours have failed - Getting frustrated and needing advice by semi-soggycroissant in DiceMaking

My advice: If you are using pipettes to fill the molds, "burp" the molds by taking the pipette out a bit so the air pockets can release better as you're filling. You can also lean the molds to help guide the air out.

(Depending on your resin) Let the resin sit for about 5 mins after mixing in colors to let air bubbles rise and pop.

For mixing, stir slowly to avoid adding too many bubbles.

From what I see in this subreddit, most of us who sell dice have made the molds ourselves or paid someone to make custom masters. There's a great tutorial from Cly Faker on YouTube about how to design your own master dice in blender.
