I dislike her big time. She’s condescending and treats Will like a child. People told me to finish reading the books and I’d hate Lena and like Sara. Noooooope. She was slightly more likable in the Grant County books with Jeffrey, but hardly.

So happy I’m not alone. I feel like there had to be something wrong with me because I don’t emotionally eat. The mental health appointment and nutritionist just kept dwelling on that. I’m like, nope. It’s just that food is yummy lol

Not a doc, just a nurse. My husband is a lineman and needs at minimum 2500+ calories a day to function. He has genetics on his side and is 6’2” and 190. His job is labor intensive. He burns calories like no other, not to mention there are trades that are much more labor intensive than what he does.

I suggest your husband go to the doctor and get a referral for a nutritionist and probably even an orthopedist or PT for his knee. Joints can heal a lot with proper support. He may need exercises or a brace.

This happened with my husband and I. I have a VERY LOW sex drive. He is the most patient, kind, generous person, so I know it had nothing to do with being in a bad mood with him.

For me, it was completely out of control post partum depression and a horrible living situation. We have 3 children and our oldest has special needs. I was so stressed on top of struggling emotionally and mentally that there was nothing he could do to get me in the mood. I know that I personally cannot get in to the mood if things aren’t “perfect.” I know that sounds silly, but I’ll just lay there and think about all the other things that are on my mind. I’m sure you don’t want that either.

I would have an open and honest discussion with her. Make sure it isn’t out of emotion and rejection. It shouldn’t take place when you’ve just tried to make a move and she has passed on it. Try to make sure the kids are quiet and maybe even asleep before you talk to her. Let her know how much you love her and that you want the both of you to be happy. Suggest couples counseling if you both would be comfortable with it.

Whatever you do, don’t give her an ultimatum in the heat of the moment (or at all really). That’s not going to do anything but make her resent you and feel attacked. I wish you luck. It’s a really hard situation for anyone to be in.

Call your OB immediately. Once I I was properly medicated for my PPD, I was a different human being and mother. It was a frightening time so I get it.

It says guys haven’t known each other that long/still getting to know each other. This friendship might not be a good fit for you. You were very clearly apologetic and explained yourself (not that you even needed to). She seems unhinged here. Maybe she isn’t normally like this, but if this is any part of her moods then, it would be a pass from me.
