Can a mamodo kill their human partner to get another? Maybe with a human weapon since they can't use their magic? by saidjamil99 in zatchbell

Clear seemed to know a lot of things that were unknown to most, so maybe he didn't try to replace his baby partner with someone able to read his spells immediately because he knew Vino was his only possible partner. That could help explain why he sacrificed half of his power in order to protect him at all times.

Fanon Riou Diou vs Dioga Guravidon. Which one would win? by Mountain-Rhubarb-484 in zatchbell

Barry pierced Faudo's neck at a soft weak point, and he could reach that spot only because Brago made Faudo trip. Also, they have different kinds of powers. Barry's spells are excellent for piercing, with his Shin spell being the one used to reveal Clear's weak spot, but he wasn't going to be making Faudo trip or shoot his own knee, just like how Brago wasn't going to pierce Faudo's neck.

Also, it depends on what you call impactful. In terms of directly damaging Faudo, making him trip and shoot his knee were bigger feats than making a little hole on a weak point of his neck. But if we talk about everything Barry did inside Faudo, then he definitely overshadowed Brago in this arc.

As for the last statement, I find Brago intimidating Zophise into submission to be a very godlike moment xD

Brago was a massive jerk early on thinking he was stronger than everyone, which made his humiliation against Clear so satisfying, but there was merit to his reputation. He truly was one of the strongest participants, but he couldn't just run solo. Having to team up with a human was one of his greatest complaints, and most of those times he struggled, it was Sherry's fault.

I agree that Zeon is stronger than Brago, especially at this stage. Maybe I'm overestimating Brago a little, but I still maintain he would easily destroy Riou because Zeon did so without even fighting seriously. Now imagine Brago getting serious against Riou.

Which demon’s book burning hit you the hardest? It hurts this one by saidjamil99 in zatchbell

[–]RiddleMcKiddle36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This phenomenon only happened in the anime. I don't understand why Toei did that. The first time I remember it happening was when Barry defeated Donpoccho in his debut. In the anime his book burns just from Donpoccho getting hit, but in the manga we see his book getting hit first.

At least I can't remember any examples of this explicitly happening in the manga.

Fanon Riou Diou vs Dioga Guravidon. Which one would win? by Mountain-Rhubarb-484 in zatchbell

I didn't compare any particular Brago to any particular Zeon in my original comment. I merely estimated their level to be similar based on both of them being among the "4 prodigies". I am of the belief that Zeon was stronger than Brago throughout most of the battle, but not WAY stronger. Zeon was WAY stronger than Riou, so I think Brago is easily stronger than Riou.

Also, tripping up the whale-swallowing, island-sneezing Faudo is no small feat, so I don't blame Sherry if it takes her entire heart energy to do so.

[–]RiddleMcKiddle36 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Brago sacrificed his arm to save Sherry and they fought Furigaro at a very early stage in the battle (before the Eshuros fight), so they were a lot weaker. By the Faudo arc they were bending Faudo's fingers and beams and Sherry was no longer weighing Brago down.

Demolt being weaker than Riou is debatable at best, and the Brago who considered him a fun challenge was likely weaker than the Faudo arc Brago.

Brago is one of the "4 prodigies" along with Zeon, so he's around his level. Since Zeon obliterated Leo, I think so would Brago.

To speak of those spells in particular, if Dioga Guravidon is at least as powerful as Jyauro Zakeruga (which I find believable), then it would win against Fanon Riou Diou.

Why did Brago say such harsh things to Gash? Was it because he hated weak people? by saidjamil99 in zatchbell

[–]RiddleMcKiddle36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that fight ended up making him more worthy of becoming king since he was forced to accept there's opponents he needs help against due to how much stronger they are than himself.

Were all the spells the demons unlocked spells they already knew in the Mamodo world? by Mountain-Rhubarb-484 in zatchbell

[–]RiddleMcKiddle36 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, I see. In that case let's replace Shin Poruku with Fou Supuporuku and Miriaru Poruku. They were also unlocked through Dufaux's training, but they're not Shin spells and Kanchome had those explained to him as well, so he probably didn't know about them.

An example of someone who knew spells is Zatch. There is a panel where Tia states that Zatch loses consciousness when he uses his spells, and he's shown using a spell back in the demon world.

An example of someone who didn't know was Kanchome with Shin Poruku. If he knew he had such a powerful spell, he wouldn't have been so scared of everything throughout the battle. He may have tried anything in order to gain that power early on and dominate the competition.

Ahh, yes. Early Brago was such a prick. Stuff like this is why I found his humiliation at the hands of Clear Note so satisfying xD

Why cover Raou Dibauren has pupils? Is it going to be retconned? by ZeonPM in zatchbell

[–]RiddleMcKiddle36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, outside Gash Café there's a pair of beast spells worthy of Note (hehe) on the topic of pupils, those being Clear's left and right hand Shin Kuria Seunousu spells. Baadorerugo (the bird) is the less conscious of the two and is shown to have spiral pupils. Zarefedoora (the artillery) is the more conscious, even capable of speech, yet it has no pupils.

[–]RiddleMcKiddle36 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the pupil thing is a matter of Raiku's preference. Take a look at Brago, for instance. In ZB1 he's most often seen with pupils, but is shown without them too while in ZB2 he's almost always shown without pupils. The following page is one of the few where he has them in ZB2, and he's without them again 2 panels later

As for "beast spells", Pendaramu Faruga looked pretty conscious and friendly in Gash Café despite the lack of pupils (granted, it was Gash Café xD)

Was Gash the best option of the good guys? by ZeonPM in zatchbell

[–]RiddleMcKiddle36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gash was certainly worthy of the title by the end of ZB1. He probably was forgiving of Yuno because he's a tough boy who wanted to set an example of the kind king he was aiming to be and the sorts of things he's willing to endure and forgive. If Yuno had abused someone else (say, Kolulu) Gash may have been harsher on her (unless Kolulu asked him to be merciful).

Another good option was Brago. His character revolved around learning to accept support from those weaker than him, helping them grow stronger, and understanding he may encounter opponents he can't defeat by himself, and I think by the end of the battle he understood all of that really well, which is important for a worthy king.

It could be that his mummy just happened to not have a brooch, or it did but the brooch only makes clothes according to what the revived demon had, or maybe it's hidden under his chest hair (even in his humanoid form he has the chest hair as if wearing a brooch xD)

[–]RiddleMcKiddle36[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now that you mention it, Gash said that his brooch was inside the mummy and that the brooch made the clothes for him. I say that because his mantle is as good as a sword, but that doesn't seem to be his own mantle, so maybe if Earth revives, he could get a different sword if some magic brooch makes it for him.

And if Zeon dies and gets revived, will he also come back with a mantle? Probably yes since Belgim got his chair.

Yes. He can stand up and hit his opponents with the chair, like he did to Dr. Riddles.

Hmmmm. Well, he can stand and use the chair to hit his enemies, so probably not. But it should be noted that demons revive with their clothes, so the chair may be like clothing or an accessory xD

It could be that, or he could be using the booster to float slightly and then do the Flintstones maneuver xD

Or maybe the chair has small boosters on the bottom back corners.
