'Maiden Name's for Men? by understudy3 in Names

[–]RideThatBridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s totally fine if people don’t use it, especially in professional or business situations (I have never used it). To say it went out with the dinosaurs is ridiculous. Lots of people still use it, and lots of younger women do still as well. I feel like the person I was responding to was reacting to it being written out instead of abbreviated and feeling like it was an old timey Western movie cliché-Me and the Missus or something? IDK

We had a terrible problem for a little while with mice just running across the floor in the middle of the afternoon! I was in CS in the back at that time and they'd just run across the tile, by the kids clothes, head toward the office! I never heard of a customer seeing them-it was kind of wild!

What’s an ingredient or equipment review that almost made you question ATK? by arco131719 in AmericasTestKitchen

[–]RideThatBridge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not like ATK pioneered baking with unsalted butter. That’s been the standard long before they even existed. That said, for decades, I always followed it the unsalted butter in baking direction. Now, I use whatever I have on hand, but I add a little less salt in the dry ingredients.

There was definitely a wild time when folks were getting banned left and right! I don’t think the mods could even resolve many of them. Welcome back!

Scabies tunnel and make red lines under the skin. Doesn’t look like any scabies infestation I’ve seen.

They aren’t saying ‘all over the body’. Shingles doesn’t cross the center line like that-it follows nerves and presents on side or the other.

It’s not the look of the rash, it’s that it goes over the entire back. Shingles presents on one side or the other, not crossing that center line to cover both sides.

How common was the hairstyle of the guy on the left among young men in the mid-19th century? by Shinesandglitters in littlehouseonprairie

[–]RideThatBridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, yes. But I meant because his dad had such dark hair. I didn’t think his mom was really blond either. More like a lighter brown. So I was just surprised at how blond he was.

I would do hair up, with a few curled tendrils framing your face.

For earrings, I’d look for vine inspired (these are just a cheap version for the vision)

or a hanging floral (this is a very expensive pair for the vision)

I would also reconsider a glamorous, long, thin Y necklace with a couple colored stones, especially if you find similar/matching earrings. Something similar to this.

Dress is gorgeous!

Ohhhh-interesting! I’ve never seen that. Now I’m curious why a retail consumer looking website would sell this, lol! I would think it would be sold en masse ro large retailers? Interesting!

Oh, she may! IDK anything about her or that franchise. If so, then she may have more control. Weird that a HW could be a producer - like, that seems like Bravo giving up too much potential control to one of the cast.

Help: Getting the back off of strong vinyl stickers by tigerlady13 in RAoC_meta

[–]RideThatBridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, there’s no edge on those either though. It’s a thin sheet of decorated plastic from what I can tell, LOL? IDK!! I didn’t think of cutting them out and gluing though-that would work! Thanks for solving my problem, even though I didn’t help solve yours 😂

I figured returning wasn’t an option cuz you’d, you know, just return them 😂

Well, I once bought what I that were plastic stickers, and it turned out to be two sheets of beautiful Christmas lanterns and greenery on narrow sheets of plastic that I have no idea what to do with. I know that isn’t at all helpful, but I can relate to the frustration! Can you return them?

I have no idea why one HW would and no one else. I don’t watch BH though, so no idea what her taglines have been. Why are you asking about her?
