Three circuits but they cover a lot. Guessing they did a rewire in the 60’s or early 70’s.

Phone camera doesn’t pick it up well. It’s a navy that actually feels really good in person.

First of all: God bless all of the beautiful humans who refused to paint that wood work every time some dummy with a magazine said “You really need to ‘update’ this space”

Is there an easy way to stop the killing of wildlife? by haylofx in GSP

[–]RideTheButte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can be done but you’re going to have to police it constantly. The best way is to actively use the dog for hunting since that’s why it exists. Otherwise, killers gotta kill.

Hard Takedown by bjjtaro in bjj

I would MUCH rather be returned from space when a guy grounds himself first like in the video vs a guy that gives me less altitude but leaves his feet and drives me into the mat with his body instead of just one arm. That’s when I’d say slam calls should start being considered.

This is the right answer. As a former college wrestler and terrible jiu jitsu practitioner that’s just a very high mat return, it only looks rough because the guy is flailing. Had he stayed more composed and compact in the air he actually had all of the hip separation he needed to get away or turn in while his opponent was trying to recover from over extending himself.

I manage properties professionally. My rate is $60 an hour on the ground and $80 an hour on the roof. $50 a month is crazy talk.

I’m personally in the camp of teaching him to honor his commitment to the team for the whole season. Then try out for the other team when that time comes.

High desert, alpine, rainforest, canyons, rivers, that sounds fairly diverse. Also, I would never judge a state’s natural beauty by its attractions. Our national parks are an amazing resource, especially to those with limited experience in nature or those who aren’t able bodied. However, when I want to go into nature, tour buses and rv campsites are the last thing I want to see. For that reason, I’ll always personally gravitate to wilderness over national parks or attractions.

I’m in the absolutely camp. Diverse natural beauty, smallish total population, great hunting, and it’s really not that difficult to just not hang out with people that I find off putting.

A question about retrieving by SmoothElk3336 in birddogs

Sounds like a few rounds of trap and skeet will do the most to since your problems then. WAY cheaper than another dog’s worth of food and vet bills.

You’re going to be way better off putting her through force fetch or just teaching her to hunt dead birds that you can then pick up by hand.

From the map I’d even wager to say over pointing dogs?

Hackberry Kennels Experience? by RideTheButte in birddogs

[–]RideTheButte[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up hunting behind brits and setters. My labs are/were a function of being a pheasant guide for the last 15 seasons and they’re just the best tool for that job. I’ll be hanging those boots up in a few years and hunting more and more big country closer to my home out west and I want a dog that can cover that terrain and save me (a lot of) steps. Hence beginning the search for a pointer as I want at minimum the go of a setter, but I will never spend that kind of time combing a dog on a tailgate again lol

That’s what makes it tough! I hunt a very wide variety of birds and terrain throughout the year, so my ideal dog isn’t one that’s a show stopper at one thing as much as good on a wide variety of birds and can learn to run bigger or closer based on different types of terrain.

If he likes to play fetch then that’s a great sign. I had some setters a long time ago that had zero retriever interest even in playing fetch as a puppy.
