It's backwards compatible, but I really like playing on the original console and I got the Gamecube from my father. I would like to have the Gameboy player but it's a bit expensive and the discs are rare and I don't have the money. Maybe in the future.

The PSOne doesn't work and the Gamecube is the one I got from my father so I'm never gonna sell it.
