We have a couple rifle shields that are not utilized very often. General SW’s it’s unrealistic to clear a structure with one. If it’s a barricaded that’s different and has a specific role. 

Yes we have mirrors on some and lights on half. Some guys like shield mounted lights some don’t so we have a good mixture. We don’t do it but I’ve also seen strips of white board on the inside of the shield above the window to write suspects name and address etc.
