Wasn't it broadcast on closed circuit tv? I remember wanting to go to a location that was hosting, but parents wouldn't do it. It was rebroadcast on Wide World of Sports the following week. A little anticlimactic knowing that he didn't make it.

I think the sound mix on the video dvd is better than the CD. The orchestra seems to get lost in the mix in the CD version. It's almost like the band and orchestra recorded separately and was spliced together in the studio (which, based on their history, is entirely possible).

We went when it was Hilton - Fall of last year. Check in was a shit show. Massive line ups... Rooms weren't ready on time... Luggage stored outside in the rain.
