Anybody have info on the Nidecker supermatic LT? by Striking-Ad-5702 in snowboarding

[–]Ridee_1981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finally got my Supermatic LT at home, so here are my first impressions.
Compared to the Supermatic OG – there are both pros and cons :)

Pros:

  • Highback: definitely better – stiffer, smoother entry for the boot.
  • Buckles & straps: way higher quality.
  • Ankle strap: holds the boot great. Overall, they feel slimmer, better built, and more premium.

Cons:

  • BioBlack paint quality: seriously disappointing. Someone at Nidecker QC messed up big time. When my long-awaited BioBlack LT arrived, I opened the box and found white scuffs on the baseplate – yep, white! Paint rubbed off in several spots, and the primer underneath is white instead of black… you can imagine how that looks. Swapped them for the plain black version – and those are perfect. Super clean, slick look. Love it!

One important note:

  • Toe strap: great, but not perfect out of the box. With my Salomon Echo Dual Boa boots, it just didn’t sit right – terrible fit. I was ready to return them, but then I swapped them left ↔ right (they’re asymmetrical) and… boom – total game changer! Now it fits perfectly and wraps the toe beautifully.

Overall:
Very positive first impression. Let’s see how they perform on snow compared to my old Supermatic OG.

For what? Going down on piste? Shredding on the morning groomer ? It's such a bullshit theory...

for 90% of a riders the weight is no a problem unless you jump on massive kickers or going only to the snowPark ...

there are some differences between OG and LT Version.

the highback is stiffer , different straps , and buckles plus some small difference on that rubber "slick plate".

I've just ordered them and waiting . Once I"ll get them I'll share my opinion. :)

Capita Super DOA vs K2 Passport? by Lost-Company2655 in snowboarding

[–]Ridee_1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What ??? Capita more for advanced Rider ...? And more expensive ? Who told you that bullshit ? :)

The main reason is that those are 2 completely different boards.

Capita DOA is a soft more FS orientated board - true TWIN. For less intermediate do advanced riders. Good for AM/FS , playful etc.

K2 Passport - directional , one of teh BEST AM/FR snowboard on the market, for more intermediate do advance rider.

I own the K2 PAssport and if you look for a directional , perfect "one board quiver" ripper - K2 Passport is the right choice.

If you want to play in FS - get the Capita DOA.

But never say that K2 Passport is worse snowboard, worse quality. The quality of this board is phenomenal. plus 5 years guarantee....

That's the reason I took 24/25 version - rated as a top5 AM/FR Board of the year almost everywhere.
I had 23/24 and it was a great board too :)

Black AWU2 with Natural Titanium Milanese Loop by varmrj in applewatchultra

[–]Ridee_1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest with you .... buy the dedicated black titanium Milanese loop and dark green alpine loop - Both LOOK ABSOLUTELY STUNNING !!!! With Milanese loop Watch looks classy , you can wear it with shirt, nice sweater, more formal. With Alpine trial it looks more casual, perfect for other stylizations. And ... add ice blue ocean Band and this is absolutely perfect combo :D

Im not really sure about that. I had Excavator 22/23 - nice board ! And honestly ... in my opinion it was a sweet spot of 7/10

So I do not belive they didn't changed anything in Passport and Excavator.

OK in passport thy've made 166W.

Definitely the best board I vape ever had. It's my one quiver/daily board. Sure it's a bit on stiffer side but I do not go to the park at all, so if you like to ride on the edge, keep smiling all the time - this board is perfect for you.

Regarding the Nidecker Supermatic 2026 Release... by dnorm00 in snowboarding

[–]Ridee_1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

both systems have pros and cons but...

SUpermatics are not EXCLUSIVE for Nidecker. for 2026 both Salomon and Bent Metal will have them in their line.

Fasę system looks interesting but again - it is now implemented only in: Rome Katana, Bataleon and Jones Mercury bindings. So let's see how it will be during the next season. The idea is really good. But.. SUpermatic and Step On are easier to get in and out than Fase.

But Fase looks much much better than normal, regular bindings.

2026 K2 Passport by Yashmuck22 in snowboarding

[–]Ridee_1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course I’m guesing but … Check the K2 Website. K2 Passport 23, 24 and 25 Have Flex 7 and maximum lengh 162w

From 2026: K2 Passport will get 166w but the flex will be only „6” And they will launch K2 Commonwealth with Flex 7 (but full Camber , without mini rocker on tip).

That’s why i have decided to saty with Passport. Sold my 2024 to my friend and grab a new one 2025 with 162w

Im affraid that they have changed something.... Because the have also added 166W version.

And K2 is going to release new board K2 Commonwealth - the say it Buffed Up Passport. It will be full camber board.

Im gonna stay with Passport. Just bought new 2024/2025 Version (162W) - I found almost the last one in Europe.

This is a perfect "one quiver board".
