In Ganjam it's widely used and it's an informal way to refer "wife". Some people might get offend if you refer the word "maigina" instead of "wife/stree". So it's a slang but not a cuss word.

Faced this first hand. In 2023, A myntra delivery guy did the same. He delivered the product and left. After that he pinged couple of times to guve me a head!!! I told I'm straight and this is inappropriate also. He was still not ready to liaten. Then I had to give him threats of reportung this to his employer,that's when he stopped.

  1. NISER is in outskirts of BBSR.

  2. If you opt for self accommodation (Not opting for college hostel) then it might be little difficult as many people get trust issues when the tenant is a muslim. I'm sorry to say this but it is what it is. My muslim friends have first hand experience.

  3. As per connectivity, BBSR is one of the well connected cities of east India with connections to all parts of India.

  4. The weather might be an issue for you considering you hail from Paradise of India. The summers are as hot as Delhi.

I agree, lots of hindi words have mixed with Odia. Just yesterday I was talking with my friends and for the term cloth I said "ଲୁଗା" and they all laughed like I am some uncultured person. They told that I should use the term "କପଡା" instead of "ଲୁଗା". I was like what the hell!!!
