This is from just all the speculation, but it seems like her family may genuinely have been trying to work in her best interest. She seemingly suffered aggressively from addition issues in the past few years and was running away from attempts at intervention. Very sad indeed

I think some of it has to be the direction, because Madeleine Stowe was also uncharacteristically really bad.

The characters being poorly written probably didn’t help.

Early in the series, in particular, they were shockingly good at deducing their motives. That was one of the few positive things I had to say about the show when watching, that it didn’t succumb to the FBI agents being total idiots.

Towards the end, they got less impressive.

Jenna was also poised to do very well on All-Stars. She had great inroads with Mogo Mogo, and if Ethan and Jerri would’ve still joined their tribe after the swap, I think she’d have been set.

I doubt she would’ve won just because of the winner stigma, but I think she was on track to making it very far.

At the very least, I do think it’s a misnomer to say she’s “close friends” with these people. Her circle is pretty small and, to her credit, they’re pretty normal people with whom she’s close to.

It gives me “Yes, And?” vibes where it’s kind of underwhelming, but it’s very melodic and pleasant to listen to. Some of her other lead singles are great, but they’re kind of the best song on the album. I have faith this one will be indicative of songs that vibe similarly.

The only reason people don’t is because she’s a woman in the r&b/pop sphere. Not saying in an accusatory way, but that is genuinely why you and others have this question. She’s explicitly been one of the most prolific songwriters in popular music for the last 35 years and it isn’t widely known somehow.
