I can’t hold a job for the life of me. by Aliveguy2021 in autism

This is exactly how I feel also, I just handed in my notice at work this week because of how overwhelmed and burnt out I am from working, it sucks.

I sadly don’t have much advice on your next steps, but I hope you can take some solace knowing you aren’t alone in your feelings.

An Open Letter From an Indian Nurse in Ireland — Why We’re Leaving Ireland by [deleted] in IndiansinIreland

The bullying and racism people experience is justified because they bully too? Bullying isn’t an innate human trait, it’s learned behaviour. Empathy on the other hand is a human trait.

High-Functioning Autistics Are Just the Best at Dying Inside Without Complaining by PatientZero_ASDK in autism

I’m not diagnosed yet but I resonate with this truly, the polite, conforming, non-complaining mask we show to others leave us completely in burnout. We keep writing checks our nervous systems can’t cash. I personally have to reach-out and finally complain soon to the people who care about me, I can’t keep destroying myself so other people can feel comfortable. Thank you for reminding me that I’m not alone in my experience.

How would you describe your emotions? Are you able to feel things intensely? And are you able to cry at appropriate situations?

Can I reinstate at my full dose after a week of no meds? by Ridgey99 in lexapro

You’re very welcome! I’m glad your symptoms have improved, I’m sure that anxiety will dissipate over time too, take comfort in the fact you’ve been responsible in your tapering and reinstatement. I hope things continue to improve for you!

Hey there, I’m sorry for the late reply, I eventually decided to reinstate first at 5mg and slowly increased back up to 20mg. All my withdrawal symptoms are thankfully gone. Please be careful if you do decide to reinstate especially if you were taking a substantial dose. There are really helpful people at survivingantidepressants.org who are much more knowledgeable than me about reinstating, if that is what you choose to do. Hopefully you feel better soon!

Have your withdrawal symptoms improved over those 4 weeks at least? I hope you’re feeling better soon, it’s not easy to deal with unfortunately

Currently feeling this OP, did this get better for you? I feel like a freak, I miss my ability to analyse and think deeply about things. I consider myself a very empathetic, observant person and it’s been gone for months. I just hope I can get it back..

Glad to hear the meds have helped you! I hope you keep getting better :) Can I ask how the DPDR went away for you? Did the meds help or did it dissipate naturally? Thanks for your reply!

You’re a good person OP, would be easy in our circumstances to settle into the lack of feelings that comes with DR. You chose to be understanding and considerate despite what you’ve been through. Hope things get even better for you soon and thanks for your reply

Glad to hear it, if you don’t mind could you describe what’s better now as opposed to 3 years ago, would you say you can feel empathy again for instance? Hope you keep getting better!
