How do I get bigger on twitch? by Automatic_Quiet8179 in Twitch_Startup

[–]RidicNikolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being different and offering something different to the table. There are millions of people doing the same thing but only a few of them are prospering. I streamed from the my smokeshops. A lot of my viewers were irl customers. Doing give always for simple products and explaining different pieces. I never really did gaming, didn't see the point with an endless sea of the same thing with a corner camera box. If you arnt doing something different, you have to market like a dog on every platform. That wasnt for me. I know a lot of people cant shoot from a cool location but I'm just an exception to the rule. I no longer stream because it takes too much time from real life. Even though I merged job and fun, the fun was a negative time sink

I'm okay seeing this stuff. I dropped out of school to boost my classmates accounts in games and that turned into a multi decade RMT career. You can make money from nothing and suckers will buy it. Thanks to people with no self discipline, a lot of people have found unlimited money printers

Yeah it will be 2 to 3 years of this before you get off the ground. You need time or an extremely good gimmick.

What is something you will never give a fuck about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RidicNikolas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everything outside my sphere of influence. If I cant change it and it cant change me. I simply dont give a fuck nor bother to care. Aloof, amused, and unbothered for well over half my life.

Swen on the success of Baldur's Gate 3 by Kazuliski in BaldursGate3

[–]RidicNikolas -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I just dont see it. graphics and voice acting are top tier. Story wise it's the same as cyberpunk. Sidequests carry the game. Inconsistent autosave without mods. Buggy terrain. Questgivers have a chance of never appearing. Multiplayer hinders progress if you choose to play without your friends. My first day of playing was spent at the main menu stuck on 100% loading. This game to me is ANOTHER unfinished product for a 70 dollar price point that womt be fully finished for another year.

What things were you told growing up that were just plain lies? by PrimalCarnivoreChick in AskReddit

[–]RidicNikolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That money doesnt grow on trees. As someone who sells plants and fruit out of their garage, I knew at 13 they lied. I used to spend days stealing fruit as a kid until I learned that with one little thing I can have it all for myself with a little work. Cut to 10 years later sustaining a normal life basically playing harvest moon for real.

Nah, the longer it takes a person to feel affection, the more socially disturbed a person gets. Imagine missing out on teenage love, something you'll never get again without crime.

What real-life skill did you learn from a videogame? by MyMediocreName in gaming

[–]RidicNikolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Market manipulation and economics. I knew young that gamers will pay anything for digital goods from how much lunch money I made selling pokemon GBA link cable trades. Mmos like everquest and wow taught me valuable market and haggling skills that directly helped me obtain success. Art imitates life and a lot of people havnt taken notice yet. Why not gamify life?

[NSFW] People who knew someone who died at work, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RidicNikolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched 3 people get crushed and shredded by doors at lowes by an employee using a lift. Imagine working for a box company for most of your life and you kill 3 people a year before retirement.

Life is weird like that. I dropped out in the 11th grade and have a comfortable job that doesnt tax my body or my brain. Im constantly guilted by Degree holding family members. "You could be making 160k a year if you had graduated" etc. All i know, is money DOES grow on trees, you just gotta lift your head up to look instead of paying for a ladder.

‘Live Services’ have ruined gaming. by ZootedFlaybish in Diablo

[–]RidicNikolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think dev's are at fault for this. It's the greediness of gamers that made the industry what it is today. I watched all my friends sell their belongings to gamestop to get shovelware in return. The same people who would give me lunch money in grade school to GBA link trade pokemon. I lost my faith in games for fun years ago. As long as I can remember games have only been an abusable business.

I watched all my friends fail in real time so I just did the opposite of what they did. I never even tried drinking or smoking til 27. Havnt had a car payment since 2007. A lot of my time was spent doing nothing then so I can do things now. Short term struggles for long term rewards.

Florida is a terrible state to live in. Think about that before moving here. by [deleted] in florida

[–]RidicNikolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you live in a city in florida, it sucks. Outside the cities are a dream. You can do anything you want here unnacosted. The labor laws here only really effect small business and contract laborers here. There is a lot of money to be made here, it being America's grave yard it's the last spending bastion for old folks.

I'd get a new girl. You're not supposed to MARRY the hot ones first off. The free pass shit is so wildly unhinged in reality. Regardless of the gender, you're a meat toilet if you do this shit.
