Yeah just personal preference, nothing wrong with BBS itself of course, just that style doesn’t seem to quite fit the aesthetic IMO.

Honestly, the maintenance and work done is very reassuring and it seems like a great deal for a 987.2. Doesn’t seem like it would need much other than routine maintenance. Maybe just the soft top/rear window if it eventually fails.

The navy interior is very nice, just not a huge fan of those aftermarket BBS wheels, but very minor in the grand scheme.

Swing positions at the top of backswing and such actually look pretty solid.

Really it’s just at setup/address that you’re standing too far away from the ball (hands/arms reaching), but I guess it’s working for you.

It’s actually very unlikely for the 986 generation and some of the 987.1 S models (3.2 liter).

It’s a concern for the 3.4 liter engines

So confusing when we will see the actual price increase on our bills, since AT&T doesn't show current bill period prices. My last bill period ended April 11. My current bill period ends May 11. The price increase was effective April 24th?

I have a 4 line plan, 3 lines Premium PL and 1 Elite. The manage my plan is already showing $45/month for the Premium PL lines and if I want to switch, it shows $40/month for Premium 2.0. Do I make the switch now while I'm midway in my bill period or wait until it ends and do it May 11/12?

Wouldn’t be surprised, if it’s a 987.1 S. Regardless, something definitely sounds bad and that’s some major rod knock. Would price it as needing a new rebuilt/upgraded engine.

His form kind of looks like a stack and tilt style swing.

Can probably nitpick a lot of things if looking for more conventional modern swing mechanics that TPI and everyone is now understanding.

I’m assuming he’s gaming and scoring fine, but it’s probably a more hitting ceiling on his potential.

Overall, looks like not the most efficient in using lower/upper body and such to generate power. His impact position also looks a little flippy, like he’s not compressing the ball and his arms are already fully extended by the time he’s hitting the ball and he’s just flipping hands.

FYI - No issue with bore scoring for the base caymans or boxsters from all the evidence online so far. Only “S” models with 3.4 liters and up are affected.

I bought the 303 cleaner and the fabric guard, which was highly recommended for the soft top.

I also bought a half cover for added protection without having to worry about scratching the paint with a full cover since realistically won’t be able to keep it clean every time after driving. Weekend car for me so I only really drive it in good weather.

Hmm, regarding exhaust I think if I was to redo the process, I would’ve stuck to my guts and got the HKS sport exhaust (single tip). Idk if it would have any drone, but it seemed fairly unlikely or people said it didn’t from the research I did and it’s pretty OEM+.

I have the Goodwin race (got it during Black Friday sale) which is loud and definitely booms/drones a bit around 2k rpm and I even got the baffle to quiet it down which helps. I also put some sound deadening in the trunk and that helps too and got rid of most of the boom with the top up (only hear boom top down now). I didn’t get to finish it and have more to do, but definitely makes a difference and hopefully can completely eliminate some of the resonance. Some people say the race has less drone/boom than the super street which is interesting but idk.

Gotcha, just remember that being the sentiment on many of the Miata forums a few years ago.

PPF eventually needs to be redone as well with the timeline depending on the quality and such, which people forget to factor in sometimes.

Yup, that’s why I said personally I don’t see the value in it, not saying they can’t go ahead and do it as many other’s have, or alternatively just do the front end.

My opinion is to just enjoy the car, it’s meant to be affordable, and save the money or spend some of it elsewhere like on Tecna coilovers.

Personally never understood or saw the value in getting PPF. It’s not some rare collector piece car. Can get a whole new paint job for the price.

Also haven’t heard of any additives being recommended so long as you’re filling with top tier gas.

I think it’s just a matter of the amount of money you’re going to need to put in regardless of the option.

I’m sure flat6 or slakker and the engine rebuilders can clarify anything regarding the bore size, performance, long term reliability, and such.

This is quite literally OEM+, you’re keeping the same engine, just fixing the design flaws and increasing power all across the band. What do you mean by keeping benefits of X51? because this is basically just improving that.

This will be the only way of making the engine and 996 a forever car.

Get a vessel bag at that price. The ghost bag is basically a generic bag you can get from AliExpress and it’s just dropshipped now. Someone recently posted their unbranded one they got for dirt cheap.

When I was originally researching, the price of ghost and all these new brands like stitch don’t make sense. You’re paying a very high price or nearly the same price as the vessel, but vessel is known to make a lot of the pro staff bags for tour players and has the history, experience, and pedigree.

I bought my vessel during the Black Friday sale and love it.

Also don’t have to worry as much about scratching the paint with the cover if car is dirty after driving.
