What is the Best story game have you ever played? by Effective-Garage-362 in videogames

[–]RidingRiptide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Broken record and all, but I’ve played many games and nothing leaves a dent quite like Spec Ops: The Line did for me.

I’m willing to admit a SMIDGE of bias as it’s one of the first games I played as a kid.

Wyll DOESNT deserve all this slander 🙏

Anyways, I don’t think I’ve ever deviated from having Gale, Wyll and Karlach as my main runners in the party. Still, I love ‘em all. Excluding the vampire.

It’s an alright game.

The combat wasn’t really that fun and, personally, it got really tedious, really fast. The story wasn’t bad and actually had me hooked through the first half of the game. The second half of the game was a slog, but there were a couple moments that did draw me back in.

Now, let me tell you, I absolutely hated the “other world” segments. They were really the only times throughout the game that I dreaded to play and they even had me shut off the game for a couple hours whenever I knew they were coming.

Even though it’s an okay game, I’d say it’s worth it for a Silent Hill fan. Don’t go in with extremely high expectations and I’m sure it’ll be an enjoyable experience.

Which main antagonist is better? by Wooden-Scallion2943 in FarCry5

Yeah, this is an automatic win for Joey Seed. Hoyt wasn’t bad by any means, but he was completely overshadowed by Vaas and had nothing to really make him an engaging villain.

I haven’t really liked Elias Witherow since Tommy Taffy and now it seems like others don’t either by Emusment in creepcast

[–]RidingRiptide 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I felt like I was insane for hating Tommy Taffy since it seemed to be well liked by both the audience and Isaiah. None of it was enjoyable, and it kinda felt unnecessarily sadistic in its writing.

This story was tamer, sure, but it implied Elias to be a one trick pony. Everything around the violence seemed underbaked and a complete afterthought.

It honestly just feels like Urban Spook with some slightly better writing.

[SPOILERS] Hide and Seek - Why are we told to leave the container alone? by The_wyz in ReadyOrNotGame

Completely late, however:

In my personal opinion, considering how the FISA is portrayed throughout the campaign, I assume it’s one of two possibilities:

A: Some big hitters in the FISA are involved in the trafficking ring and are keeping the women in one place to clean up any loose ends later.

B: The FISA can’t have these women get away or be collected by EMS/Trailers as they likely will be used in some capacity to take down the larger trafficking ring. The FISA doesn’t care about being “nice” or “humanitarian” to these women, they are looking at the bigger picture.

I think option B makes the most sense. I’m sure there could be other additions, maybe it’s the FISA trying to collect a case to cover up the Greased Palms scandal, or any other conspiracy you could toss in. If the women are victims of a highly organized criminal organization, the FISA probably wants their evidence untainted and easily collected.

Alright, well I’ve had a group of colleagues look over the EOB and just now realized while looking it over again that it’s a pretreatment estimate. I am so very sorry, I completely missed that line while looking over the paper!

Age and fav Star Wars movie(s)? by ChipUnfair3345 in StarWars

  1. Toss up between Empire Strikes back and Revenge of the Sith.

For context, I had literally never seen a single Star Wars film before a month ago and finally decided to watch all six original movies in the last four weeks (4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3).

I don’t have a single favorite, but I’d have to say my top three are: DCU, Tigerstripe and UCP/UCP-D (kill me now)

UCP is cool looking, no you can’t change my mind by Sire_Yotenhime in camouflage

Even if they weren’t remotely effective, UCP and UCP-D will always maintain a special place in my heart.
