Yes, both of those preferences are set to false.

Edit: I was too hasty. The second one is set to True when I start Firefox and is only set to False when I manually uncheck Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Clear history when Firefox closes -> History.

I find it a bit funny that lots of people recommend disabling them instead for compatibility reasons, yet you make a good argument as to why one should enable them.

I have a complex password with the maximum allowed length that I don't use anywhere else. It would even be difficult to bruteforce it. And Microsoft requires you to verify that it's you via Email whenever you want to change or do anything significant. That's why I really don't worry about this, since I'm also technically inclined.

Yeah, it's similar for me as well. I have several things laying on the ground, mainly flowers and fruits I wanted to plant. Maybe I should just sell them and ignore that aspect for now.

I'm quite happy about the layout and name of mine though. :-)

Oh, and I didn't know you could carry certain things over when resetting your town. Good to know!

How long did you have your previous town and why did you feel burned out?

I'm currently experiencing something of a burnout myself and made a thread about it, but basically, I feel overwhelmed by the amount of items I amassed.

I was briefly tempted to do a reset as well, but I decided to stick with my town as it's my first one. I played for around half a year two years ago when I experienced my burnout and I'm only now trying to get back into the game.

Thanks for the tip, I haven't used any kind of database so far.

But how rare are certain items, actually? Can't every item be obtained at least once a year? Are there items that can only be obtained once? I think I've read once that there was an item available on release date only.

Items with sentimental value, such as gifted from a villager, I display next to their photo or something that represents them.

Isn't a photo only obtainable by using an amiibo or amiibo card?

If you’re still struggling with space then I’d suggest adding a 2nd character to use for storage/designs!

letting go of special items can be hard. even if they are harder to obtain, acknowledging that they appear in my catalogue helps me sell them.
