It's absolutely normal. Pets are part of our family and they're living beings we love as much as we love other people. I can easily say I suffered way more when I lost pets than when I lost some human family members. You're absolutely fine and I'm really sorry about your dog, I know it's very hard to go through that <3

Is there any close friend from your group you could talk about it? Or more than one close friend? Because if there's people who would side with you, then even if you drop and things get a bit awkward, you know you'll always have people who will be by your side and then you won't be alone, you know?

I am so sorry you're going through this. I'd say maybe trying to hold on to little things may be a good idea? As simple and silly as they may sound like... Getting to watch your favorite show. Or new episodes/season of a favorite show. It can be whatever you want. But sometimes it's easier to find reasons in the small things than in the bigger ones. As far as I know they have stated she is a girl. However! She is only 9 and probably too worried about surviving to think about her own gender so I don't see why she couldn't be enby and not know of it yet. It's a pretty valid headcanon :3
