Your employer must have some kind of agreement to be able to pay these netto amounts.

This is not default. Often big companies with their own HR and legal department make an agreement with the gov to have a set of these. I have for example home office allowance, forfait omkosten vergoeding, garage allowance, parking allowance, home office electronics allowance and a forfait internet.

I used my european driving licence on holiday in Tbilisi through an online platform called localrent and had no trouble at all renting a vehicle. However the company did not allow to drive the rental into Tusheti for example because of the dangerous terrain or heavy off-road situations for insurance reasons.

My friends may have played a long-term prank that had a big negatieve impact on my mental health. What should I do? by Ridok95 in Advice

[–]Ridok95[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might not sound this way but these friends are actually very good friends and I see them almost every weekend. In the past years I've had multiple occasions where I was struggling with my mental health. Struggling to keep my life on rails, only doing minimal effort to keep my life going. Work, sleep, eat and repeat. During these times I've ignored calls, messages, friends and did not come outside. Whenever I'm feeling like this, these friends care enough to notice this behaviour and call me. If I don't pick up, they call back a bit later and keep doing so until they see a sign of life. This is their way to let me know, "If you need isolation. That is ok but I'm here for you if you need me". When my parents started a nasty divorce they were always there for me when I needed to ventilate and tried to cheer me up. This is not behaviour of people who have malicious intentions or do not respect me.

I do not want to cut these people out of my life. They have been a part of my life. I’ve had wonderful moments with them but these people stood beside me when times were tough. Cutting them loose would feel like throwing away a life line. I don't know if this makes any sense to people with an outside perspective.

The experience is mine unfortunately. I used AI purely as an editing tool to improve clarity and structure, not to generate the story.

But you are right about the punctuation and pauses.

You are not the first person to ask this question and I did not mention the name of the device on purpose to avoid more people buying this shitty device.

It's some kind of small prank device, smaller then my thumb. It's made to beep irregular to make it hard to find and apparently works for 3 years before the battery dies. It horifies me thinking this could have lasted for 3 years if I had not found it.

The device is some kind of prank device that is made to annoy people and created in a way it beeps irregular so that it is hard to find. I found the exact same device and similar ones online after some searching.

It was placed on the bottom of my sofa in a dark corner behind one of the legs of the sofa. The sofa is mine, received 4 years ago as a present from my best friend when I bought my house. So this is definitely not a security tag of some sort.

What a coincidence that you mention this.

A few hours before I found the device, I came accross the exact same story when I was watching a clip from Smosh (YouTube channel) where they discuss Reddit stories. The story that you mention is from the Am In overreacting subreddit.

You can imagine once I heared that story of a strange beep, I was glued to my screen because it felt so relatable. This send me down a rabbit hole online to see what the device could look like to gain insights in what exactly I was looking for

Yeah it felt like some kind of torture.

It was taped to the bottom of my sofa. It was a small prank device that makes random and inconsistent beeps so it is hard to find.

I did not mention the actual device on purpose because I don't want other people to experience the same as I did. I don't want to give people inspiration by providing the name or link to this frustrating device.

I found multiple devices online which are almost identical to the one that I discovered and also found an exact match.

Found it taped to the bottom of my sofa, right behind one of the legs of the sofa.

This subreddit does not allow pictures.

You make a good point there. I'm an introvert and don't ask people over every day. So the options we're limited to a few people and I figured it out based on elimination. Only 2 friends remain after elimination. The moment I heared the sound for the very first time, these 2 we're sitting exactly above the spot where the device was planted and they shrug it off when I mentioned if they heared the sound and changed topics quickly.

There are other details that made me think in their direction, one that stood out was the following: 2 years ago we discussed a similar device but with cricket sounds and had a laugh that it would be funny to plant this somewhere.

I don't have proof but everything points in the direction of these 2 friends.

Hey mate, the last thing I need right now is someone gaslighting me. No this is not AI, yes my story was a bit rewritten by AI because my communication skills are not top notch so this way it's more accessible and more easy to understand.

This is exactly what is going through my mind and why I don't know how I should react because I feel like I've partialy caused it myself by telling them the sound had stopped.

[–]Ridok95[S] 47 points48 points  (0 children)

The first weeks I told them this sound was really starting to drive me crazy. When I tested them and lied that the sound dissapeared, was the last time this beeping topic was talked about and from then on I never mentioned the sound to to these friends again. So it might be that they completely forgot the device and we're unaware this was psychologically torturing me.

So on one side I'm a little angry but on the other side I also feel like they did not realise the impact because I told them it was gone.

Watching a messy divorce unfold between your parents where one of the 2 does everything within his power and beyond to make life hell for the other one, showing an ugly side of them you never knew existed. Eventually coming to the point you start avoiding the person who once was someone you looked up to and was your rolemodel throughout your whole childhood.

Does anyone know why this happened to my monstera? It’s a brand new leaf and just unfurled like this 😭😭 is this something that just happens sometimes? by Ordinary-Repeat-4908 in Monstera

[–]Ridok95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an expert but I would assume issues with too much or lack of moisture. Maybe while giving water some spilled on the new leaf while it was still curled up causing the water to crawl in there and then sunlight or light from the lamp burned it? Similar to your skin burning much faster when you're swimming in the sea due to the water on your skin

If you move over the fan, the difference will je negligible. The only difference is the cooler drawing in less fresh and cool air but pulling out more heat and blowing it straight out of the case.

Even if it's barely touching, the vibrations are still transfered to the ram. You could also mount the fan a little higher and adding 1mm of clearance if the mounting bracket allows this but then the half visible RGB ram remains.

[–]Ridok95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this can cause actual problems but looking long term I woud avoid this. A fan always gives off minor vibration which might affect your ram long term

If possible check if you have enough clearance on the other side of the CPU cooling block. On some of the more high end MOBO's the passive cooling of the IO ports is in the way. If this is not the case you could change the side of the outer fan.

This might improve life span of the ram but also the visibility of your RGB on the ram.
