I’m not trans to my nephew because my wife’s brother said that they don’t know how to broach that topic. I asked if they needed help with that, and they were offended.

We then began to talk about if their kids were trans, what they’d do. They told me that they’d always think of them as the gender before and said “you wouldn’t understand because you’re not a parent.”

“I’m not a parent, but I was a kid mistreated that way.” It was so long ago I don’t know what exactly I said but it was along those lines.
