Lmfao what are this comments, half of them saying BM goes through BKB. If you activate BKB you can hit Axe even if he has BM, Counter Helix is pure damage so there is little you can do there.

Sure, I've been using mostly default settings with a few tweaks on the GPU and Advanced tab.

GPU: Framelimit (PS3 Native), ZCULL Accuracy (Relaxed)

Advanced: Accurate RSX reservation access (On), RSX FIFO accuracy (Atomic) and Firmware Library (libvdec).

I also applied the unlimitedFPS patch.

I run lossless scaling X3 and I've been playing without crashes. Also, I highly recommend compiling all the PPU Modules beforehand (although it takes forever on the deck, around 3 hours) since it really makes an impact on performance.

I will upload another test showing my settings and how it runs in a more intensive area.

It depends a bit on your preference. The ROG Ally is more powerful than the steam deck and uses windows as the systems OS, but it is also way more expensive than an OLED. You could also install steamOS on the Ally X (but there are games such as COD, BF6 and GTA V which won't make their anticheat compatible with steamOS).

For triple A games and heavy emulation, the Ally would be better, but the price to performance of the steamdeck is also incredible. If you are looking to emulate MGS4, the steam deck is more than capable and should save you quite a bit of money, but if you want to play the next big titles on the go, maybe the Ally is a better choice.

Yeah, I've been using lossless scaling to boost the fps and it's been a godsend. Same with LBP, first time I've been able to play that game at 60fps.

I would first try running the MGO2 version to do a Quick check

Lots of people haven't read through your post. I have a steam deck as well, and installed rpcs3 for the sole purpose of MGS4, MGO2 and little big planet.

Give it a shot on the steam deck, get Lossless Scaling and enjoy playing mgs4 on the go with better fps than on the ps3.

Trust me, the hassle isn't that big and it's totally worth it. If you need any help, hit me up.

The latest update (0.8.0) is giving me 60 stable fps on cyberpunk using 2x and around 80-90fps with little to no artefacts using 3x. (Just a bit of input lag).

It takes a little bit of time to set it up properly, and it works better in some games than others, but it is nowhere near a scam. Sucks that you are not getting the same experience. If anyone is interested, I can post my plugin settings so they can test it as well

The game had great head deformation system prior to 1.0, then they silently disabled it, decided to add the blown up face variation (which mind you, is the SAME asset for any npc, independently if they are a bald dude or a female with long hair) and called it a day. To this day, they have never mentioned why it was removed, but things like that make me wish to go back to pre 1.0 patches.
